Tidy early 24V Scorp saloon.

£9,500.

Quote, "THESE CARS WILL RISE IN VALUE CONSIDERABLY FARLY SOON AS ANYTHING WITH COSWORTH STAMPED ON IT IS STARTING AT 10k".

Nice original unwelded car (so far), but am sure a couple of salty winter's use would ruin it.

Are these also destined for the pages of overpriced Fords advertised for sale till the end of time?

There was a 80k mile frogface Cossie, R-reg, for sale near me before Christmas. Good history with it. Seller was asking £850 and it was for sale for ages.

Edit, Ebay car's now flagged up as 'SOLD SOLD SOLD'.

(White Room next week for £16,950? Have to wait and see).

It was originally up for £165k

As they have sold before for over 200K I would say there is some money to be made on that.

I just wish I had bought the one I looked at near Sevenoaks in 1986 that was for sale for 2 bags.

Alternative pension fund. And the saloons were equally cheap....

Probably will get something near that for it too, I reckon

That is now because all the 205s are at £25k

Apparently the 10k AX was sold to the guy for £2.5k.

It's not gone down well with the owners page on Facebook.

Probably because they'd have done the same if they could get away with it?

If "barn find" isn't the phrase that's lost all meaning on eBaY, then it's most definitely "TLC".

So when did Metros become so expensive on eBay. They’ve kept from about £500 to £2500!

I knew they would.  And I don't see why they shouldn't, when Minis are up in the trees.

In fact I've been surprised values and interest have been suppressed for so long.  I almost bought a 1st year miniMetro in that Apple Green for investment (and fun) ideas but thought better of it

I papped an early 1990s model at a local used car site with a sticker price of £1995. I'll upload a pic of it when I get time.

EDIT - It's this one:

£500 Vauxhall Corsa.... bicycle?!??!!?

"This is a converted vehicle, an original Vauxhall Corsa which has been altered to be human powered"

Pretty standard alteration

"This is a bit of an odd vehicle."

Really.

"The original builder of this has put a lot of thought into it."

Debatable.

"The speedo is a bike computer from Halfords."

"The drivers window is a bit sticky, but I've loosened it up so it now nearly closes."

nearly

"There is no sunroof, just a hole in the roof"

"There's no keys, but do you really need keys for a car that has a hole where the sunroof used to be. Besides, who would want to steal it? "

You raise a fair point, man asking for £500 for a Vauxhall Corsa shell glued to a bike....

“Lead acid battery”. Nice to see some sound engineering and thinking has gone into making this as lightweight as possible.

Attention to detail on that Ital pickup, grille upside down for starters. I'm blaming the KLF in Peatboghorror, with their 'white room' for a lot of this nonsense

Blimey, I bet that Corsa is hard work.

Probably goes better than the EcoTecs ever did though.
