Jerzy Woking Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I read something the other day apparently as of last October they "improved" consumer rights laws. Now if you are a motor trader you have to give a 30 day money back warrenty. Not just say we will sort that out but if for any reason you are unhappy they have to refund in full. It's a shame Xtriple didn't know about this with the Bentley. It certainly puts me off selling cars when everyone is an expert and wants to pay less than trade money for a car but still expects these "rights"I just purchased a cheap car from a dealer (unseen) and it was well described. There is no way I'd have the Gaul to return it unless it was deliberately misdescribed. But then its a sub £500 car, not something costing thousands. Maybe I'm too reasonable or just of an age where "caveat emptor" means what it means. Banger Kenny and solid61 2
spartacus Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I just clicked the link for the Escrot Cabby, it said the item was re listed, obviously I thought, the seller got the price wrong the first time... No, it's still starting at £11000!For that money it needs to be complete with a filthy, slightly chubby blonde in heels and a mini skirt.

Urko Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 this is the best you'll get (8:30 for blonde bird with cut n shut escort) Woman in film "you should see it - it looks very much like a New York backstreet car dealing place" - eh? Does she have any idea what she's talking about? Did she do the backstreet car dealing tour when she went to NYC?"it looks dreadful, cars all over the place, filthy" - yeah dreadful. The woman with the cut and shut is great though - gratuitous cleavage shots, her Tarot card consultant told her the car was dodgy.
spartacus Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Yep, get me a pen and show me the dotted line, she looks filthy. Aston Martin 1

wuvvum Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 About ten years ago, I bought a beige Badermatic KP61 out of the local paper for 150 quid. It was nearly out of T&T but ran well. I rode it around for a while then stuck it on eBay, where it made 350 quid. I thought I'd done really well at the time... mouseflakes 1

Lacquer Peel Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Something doesn't add up there, or it was treated really badly in its few thousand miles.
Christine Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Suppose it was dragged behind a motorhome ,would it rack up miles still? oldcars 1
Lacquer Peel Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Yes, they're usually towed behind A frames, maybe A frames are quite hard on tyres over thousands of miles.
STUNO Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Any takers ?1992 Mitsubishi , 200,000km......only NZ$290,000 asking, about 140,000 pounds! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/caravans-motorhomes/motorhomes/9-metres-and-over/auction-1024203749.htm It does have some redeeming features though.
anonymous user Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 That motorhome is a bit too Peter Stringfellow for me, the last thing I want are so many mirrors in the bathroom that I can watch myself having a poo. Bucketeer, Christine and STUNO 3
STUNO Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Any bog with a mirrored wall behind it is just weird.
