Very happy. My dad seems to like it aswell as he enjoyed the ride home and said you done the right thing buying that.

I had a phone call from him as im in my lorry away all week he's been out tinkering with it.

He's smitten aswell

Brilliant bikes, had a few then on to 11's, before realising the ZZR 6 is all the bike I need and want. Would have another tomorrow.

If they spent 1k getting it euro4 and shipping id still be interested

Anything over 3.5k I'll buy a bullet for 2k instead

Although bullets are 4k in Thailand

Just found a couple of before photos of the Mecatecno i'm rebuilding, as you can imagine parts are mainly all made from unobtainium. Total production was somewhere around 200 bikes

Anyone wanged around on one of there Non-Triumph Heralds?  Looking like an updated B40 (C15) but is it worthy of my bank loan?

Nice low exhaust, so looks like the ideal candidate for some BFO panniers and some despatch use.

The winter edition of the BMF mag has a brief review of one of these - not too bad it seems. I was looking at them at the NEC - they're a bit rough around the edges but appeared to be better built than the Royal Enfields. Mash (a French outfit) do a similar thing; again the build quality didn't seem too bad. I wouldn't be surprised if they all came from the same factory in China.

Herald and Mash replace some of the less desirable Chinese stuff (oil, batteries, shocks, tyres, brake pads etc) with European items to increase the safety, improve the reliability and the handling. May not be a bad bet, and like MG3 owners, you can say, in the future, that you where there first.

Two and half bags new but the secondhand market in trashed ones has not taken off yet.

Obviously (only reason to get a new bilke) one may have a UK registration but could be used abroad for 3 years before returning for an MOT but NO_ONE would do that as it;s illegal.

Had yer Indian Enfield classic 350 and not impressed by quality newer ones are a lot better but too much cash for me.

I'd really like one of those but isn't everything on the wrong side?

Pie-in-the-sky pricing as usual down here.

It's not like any bike over 30 years old costs a packet in VRT. It's bloody free!

We really must wire up the engine in our D10, that's all that's stopping it getting re registered for the road.

Three of my colleagues at work went to the bike show and all came back saying they were interested in one of these as a run around, I think the fact they are finished off not a million miles from work is part of the attraction to them. I've also seen one in the flesh being parked up in Cambridge, the bloke riding it was peak hipster with one of those Bell retro helmets that look like a fishbowl. Definitely the target audience.

They look pretty good but If they are Chinese, I think I'd give them a miss. We had a CCM that was a bloody Chinese thing really and it was made out soggy bamboo, the stuff that the Pandas had pre-digested and defecated out.

Rode nicely, took a LOT of looking after and bearings and so on were utter crap.
