Couple of old planes in Bournemouth. Think this is a Spitfire and a Messerschmitt.

Didn't seem to take pictures of a lot of the other planes.

Out of interest, are there any pilots on here? I was just wondering when you're meant to use this?

Nice to know there’s another few panther bodied Fords out there. I should really get mine back on the road.

I'm sure the front one was a Spitfire as they were escorting the Lancaster but I'm no expert, they might've gone and these ones replaced them.

Was telling Imp Jr that his great grandad flew Lancasters in the war but apparently he only trained in them and actually flew Wellingtons as I spoke to my old man today.

Spent a lot of time researching ww2 fighters. Spits got different wings main and tail. I met a wellington pilot a few months ago, Mrs suttys best mates grandad. Lovely chap.

My grandads logbook of his flights was on display at the Solway Aviation museum in Carlisle for a bit but I think my Dads got it again now. I'll grab some photos of it next time I'm up there.

Looking at the flying agenda for the show I'd agree with Sutty. I think they're the Ultimate Warbirds P47 and P51.

It's not unusual for display teams to do displays together so they may have been with the BBMF Lancaster.

I've been my current delivery for about a year and a half and this garage door has never been open. Yesterday morning it was.

I thought it was an HC Viva but as it doesn't look quite right. FD Victor? No still not quite right. Turns out it's an Opel Ranger which is a new one on me. Apparently a sort of Rekord coupe.

Took the E30 out for a brief hoon at lunchtime to recharge its battery, which I had rudely flattened the other week by borrowing it to work on the Lancia, but we got stuck behind this:

Definitely the most Autoshite motorcaravan I’ve seen all summer.

Sorry for the crap pic.

That’s a stonking spot. I don’t think we got these new here; whether we did or not, it’s super-rare. And handsome too.

On this leafy residential street in Ealing, I have waited many months to get a clear photo of this one, as there are usually cars parked in front of it, blocking the view, but this unpromising sight is a Fiat 500 Giardiniera, the one with the suicide doors:

Steady on, that’s Vin’s Fiat 900T isn’t it?

It had lots of love on here during the epic weldathon that got it looking like this. Gorgeous.

edit: yes it is. Thread here:

Yes, that was me, I was there... I'm pretty sure ol' Aston is talking about the 'Starcraft' when it comes to the rape camper...I stuck my head in the open rear door and it was just as grim inside as out...
