Went down to my parents who live in Sidmouth. Always spottage around.

This was immaculate.

It's on the road my parents live on and apparently the chap who owns it uses it daily. Very much looks so! But got to love that happens. Especially on an old car nowadays.

Vehicle Age: 70 years 6 months

Last MOT in 2012 and nothing really of note.

Both exempt of course!

I know the first is a MG TF but what is the Rover?

First one is a TD, think the second is Rover 10

I see we had another one of these a couple of pages back that looked just as rusty as this one.

Outside a pub near Newbury. All the tyres were flat and the side repeater was no longer attached to the wing at all, it had rusted all round it. Looked like every panel had rust and bubbling paint. VW build quality eh.

My mate had a VR6 Corrado at the same time I had a VR6 Passat - the Corrodo had an extra 15ish BHP from the otherwise similar engine.

In pub car park near me, it's only been there a few months but was already covered in green when it arrived. It was moved again into the corner a couple of weeks ago. The house opposite has a TVR on the drive which has sat for about eight years

Funny you should mention this. There's a house near my office which also has a TVR - think it's a Chimaera - mouldering on the front drive. I keep meaning to take some photos. Registration plate is C20 RLA.

It's been sitting there so long that DVLA has no database entry for it.

The two Capri's were seen within 20 yards of each other, the more I see them the more I want one, although I guess the reality would be a disappointment.:-/

I know the first is a MG TF but what is the Rover?

Rover 75 ??....The reason for the ?...way back in 1969-70 (memory man)..myself and 5 mates (greebo's/rockers/smellies..or bike enthusiasts) call us whatever, chipped in to the extortionate (get it outta here) selling or scrapping price of £25.00!!!...which still had 1 months tax + mot on it.

(must add this was a private sale as the area in which it was garaged was under pending demolition...local to the DUNLOP Factory in Walton L/Pool)

The next day,we decided to drive to Southport for a day out.

Went on the twisty route (hairy to say the least) came out at Scarisbrick Hall, back onto proper roads.

(I'll cut short the BLAR BLAR here.

We decided to drive the Rover along the beach. Two fellers standing on each running board,me driving and the nutter in the passenger front.

Going great no bogging down...God knows what the right speed was showing on the speedo.

The next thing was the "NUTTER" leans over and starts wanging on the s/col ??  next thing there was an almighty crunch!! KRANG!! the ROVER came to a sudden STOP!!...spewing the "OUTRIDERS headfirst into the sand, the Nutter imprinting his face into the windscreen, which we then found out opened, :-D .

I myself thought I'd broken my wrists because I'd bent the steering wheel to something similar to the brim of a cowboy hat!!!

All because this "nutter" had wound on the steering damper/lock.

The crunching stop was not being able to swerve around a huge block of concrete (old WW2 pillbox)..Adolf all your fault it was there!.

Needless to say Rover was f*cked, left where it stopped.

Think it was eventually dragged of the beach and resided at the local scrappy awaiting the crusher...................SAD.,but expensive lesson if only it had seat belts or just one to tie the "nutter" down..

Seen in That London last night. With a car seat in the back even.

Also, putting this here because I don't know where else it could go. My Volvo had a friend the other day. Owner unknown. They really haven't changed the design at all barring a few hardly noticeable cosmetic tweaks and modernisations.

Thats an odd one.

It looks like a "valver" (1.8 16v) rather than a full on Williams (2.0 16v) to me....

Wrong alloys, looks like the wrong blue, no colour coded mirrors, doesn't look to have the williams stickers (though hard to tell), and looks like it has a sunroof.... but Cazana says its a Williams.

Still, I fully lusted after both the valvers and the williams when I had my 1.4RT

EDIT: Wonder if its had an ID change... the Williams plate was off the road for 10 years.....

Either way its a decent wad of cash to just have sitting there moulding.

Help out a layman here you think its an ahem, *ringer*..  A mate had an auto 1.4RT he drove it like a an invincible feeling 19 year old i was suprised at just how much it could shift, Mind you another friend had a 1.2 16v clio campus and he was forever bleating about how slow it was. Telling me it was crap etc. I drove it back from nottingham on the a46 at about 3am one summers night and found it a riot.. to summise my old mate drives like a tart!

Came home from a clusterfuck day that felt like a whole series of 24, to find this lovely old thing in the car park

Decided to move in for a closer look but was concerned that the owner would not want anyone getting too close to it

Makes a change from the normal run of the mill pick-up trucks usually seen here. One was parked next to it

Spotted this at my local petrol station - almost spotless MOT history. Owner must be annoyed about the recent advisories ruining his record lolfc50e6e054419257d056b373fcbcc34f.jpg660e055826e044a9c90d09a79d4cca39.jpg1deffce28ddb5cd44177b6d259217834.jpg

Day one of a holiday in northern France and the car spotting has commenced. In the space of the two hour drive from Dieppe to our gite at least 10 AXs spotted, one towing a trailer. More interesting spots include a car I never knew existed, Citroen Saxo “Bic” special edition. Things were topped off by spotting a silver Renault 18 estate a few miles form Camembert. Exciting stuff.

This mega-giffer-owned Felicia is slowly rotting away gracefully*.

Note the Krooklok.

I left my Streetwise unintentionally unlocked in the same car park this afternoon. If 'they' didn't have that away on its toes, I doubt they'd be too interested in a rusty Felicia
