Lazy spotters thread

Went to a vintage thingy today out near Warminster.   Quite a few cars there but all tightly packed and surrounded by sandwich-chomping owners so I didn't bother taking many pics.

This was flippin' brilliant, pre-war MG K1 Tourer, complete with University Motors registration and untouched for the 60 years the fella has owned it for after dragging it out of a nettlebed.....

There were lots of Imps and other little devils, caused chaos on the way in as they tried to marshal themselves to drive down to the show area together and half of them seemed very reluctant to do a hot re-start.   Most of 'em had buggered off by the time I took this nice little Stiletto...

And I couldn't leave without getting this one.....

I'm in Mercrocker country at the moment. Staying in a cottage in Ashurst and the roads are nearly as full of shiny classics as they are of VW T4 and T5 vans. Lost count of the number of MG and Triumphs I've seen, plenty of Jags Porsche and Ferraris too.

Best car I've seen is a scruffy grey E-Type roadster ( 4.2 , I think) rust patches visible all over and running a bit rich, the old boy driving suited it down to a tee, a bit wind swept and sort of posh scruffy.

A nice Coupe and Spyder Maserati Mistral pair in Meridien surrounded by vulgar modern stuff- mostly the diesel SUV things.

Maybe when it's not a baking hot weekend, there aren't quite as many old cars around .

I do like a Mustang II. Has someone paneled over the back side windows or did they come like that?

Yeah, they should have a small side window with that roof profile...

The one in my pic is a Ghia with vinyl half roof but you get the idea....

Nice Farina-driver's view in your pics, too!

Visited the Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club show at the weekend, nearly 600 vehicles on show; here is a selection picked from amongst the ranks of over-restored MGBs...

This unloved 75 tourer is MOT'ed and taxed.... It was dumped under a lampost at the roadside for months earlier on this year, It just gets shifted about to help allude to some sort of actual human presence in that big old house.

This is more than a spotting. I actually went to take a look as it was for sale. 1997 Peugeot 405 Mi16, one of the last ever to be produced. About the nicest 405 Mi16 you'll find not already in some collectors garage never to be driven spiritedly again. I kinda wanted it. Alas, it wasn't to be.

This made me realise what a rare sight these things are nowadays. Definitely pensionable occupants kindly granted me this pic before they drove off with their fresh supplies of prescription medicines and wicker picnic basket to a leisurely lunch in the countryside, before popping this beauty back in its garage before it rains...
