steve_earwig Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 That's a Zastava "Fićo" (i.e. Yugoslavian copy of a Fiat 600). I was watching some old Italian film a year or so back with the wife when she suddenly exclained "I didn't know they had Fićos in Italy" Maybe there's just one or two but they get around a lot... This was the only type of car at the whole show that I had actually owned in the past (I did once have a Dolomite for half an hour but I am not counting that). Bodykit on this was wank. dangerousdave Posted August 16, 2014 Posted August 16, 2014 to be fair that dolomite looks more a work in progress rolling resto than deliberate ratlook

NorfolkNWeigh Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 I dint even know you could get a Diplomat coupe, suddenly Commodores,Tauneses and Granadas look a bit effete. brickwall 1
HillmanImp Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 to be fair that dolomite looks more a work in progress rolling resto than deliberate ratlookSadly i think not. There was filler splattered on it and not sanded back and i dont think the paint of various colours was covering repairs. Think he was maybe trying to make it look like he was restoring it when he wasn't? More pratt look than rat look possibly.
dangerousdave Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 in that case ill agree with you prat look just such a shame on a nice car
panhard65 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 A few from the mark moor international vehicle festival !!! Sounds impressive eh but in reality was a load of tat in a field. Mainly mgf's and mx5's that they all think are classics. Any way here are the highlightsI can't remember what this daimler was just that it was hooper bodied and one of only 2 builtThis manky moggie recieved quite a lot of attention. The owner was apparently a practical classics restorer of the year. Most comments seemed to be along the lines of when are you going to paint it. The spirit of exctasy on the bonnet was worth more than the car in my opinion.I was surprised to see this still there in the afternoon after the heavy showers in the morning. Most Lancia's would of dissolved by the afternoon.2CV powered thingYank shiteRatty looking Morgan with a difference.Yeap thats right a peugeot 1.9 td lump in there,Pure 70's pimp mobile fordperv, KruJoe, steve_earwig and 1 other 4
vulgalour Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 That little yellow car is a Berkeley Sports, I think, quite a rare little thing as most microcars tend to be.
mercrocker Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 The Daimler coupe is actually one of two Lanchester Dauphin coupes built but this one has been converted with a Daimler radiator grille at some point in its history. Its pretty well documented as one might expect....
Jim Bergerac Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 A few recent spots from me. Another Austin 7, parked on the opposite side of the street from the other one I posted a few pages back! Obviously this VW Campers probably worth a bit, so you'd think they'd put a less anachronistic plate on it: Two elderly Land Rovers parked one car apart: Talbot Express: Bonny Midget: For some reason, took a detour whilst walking the dog and stumbled across this: vulgalour and HMC 2
Ratdat Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Here's a few heaps I've seen recently... Not sure what I posted last so no idea if I've done this one... Chunky Kitten spotted at Tescos in Cleethorpes. The little Suzuki logo on the grill suggests it may no longer be 850 powered... Plastic chod in Louth... Saw this on the way down to Pandamoniums gaff to fetch his Prairie. I stopped at this place for some lunch and can recommend their grub... This was also sat outside the cafe... And whilst there, this turned up on the back of a much larger, modern Volvo flatbed. Remarkably solid.... Fez in action... We went down to RAF Conningsby to watch the Lancasters take of and whilst there observed this absolutely grade-A autoshite camping equipment. This is so right in every way... Also in the car park ...some Minis... This appears to have been built a very long time ago from a pair of vans. It had engines and functioning steering at both ends! Check out this terrifying looking setup.... Wingnut for locking the steering... Jim Bergerac, steve_earwig, KruJoe and 2 others 5
Mr_Bo11ox Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Is that Opel Diplomat coupe actually a commodore coupe with a diplomat front end?
panhard65 Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 A trip to Bournmouth last weekend and spotted this little beauty. brickwall and vulgalour 2
HMC Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 The leaves show this is a very lazy spotter- was taken autumn 2012 then someone was picking up triumph spares from my neighbour. Terminally rotten, sagging old parts donor. The back end fell off as it came off the trailer! On its way to malta to be restored. This has now been put back on the road by a local enthusiast And some German spots... Some fiat or other Thought it was just a japaniese thing This old alfa was lovely. 0/10 camera skillz whilst waiting at customs vulgalour and brickwall 2
fordperv Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 mrs fordperv wanted to get some shopping earlier, i parked in a row of empty spaces away from everything and when we came out this little red beauty had obviously been attracted to the saph brickwall 1
xtriple Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 See if this works! Yes it does! Just worked out how to get piccys off my phone and back into my photobucket account - only taken me a year! Saw this Herald parked up at Ansteys cove, was well used but in pretty good order. Angrydicky 1
