They were only ever made in yellow (yellow steering wheel, dashboard, seats, trim, gearstick, mirror covers, bumpers, wings-in fact everything was yellow!) with ONE exception, which was in a ghastly lime green! The whole idea was to change Skoda from the image of a "sensible" or "boring" car company to one that could produce.... THIS! The name, the frog symbol (as in "a princess kisses a frog and it turns into something handsome") and the almost lunatic rear seat arrangement shouted FUN! As has been said before, Skoda UK couldn't have enough of them so much so that more were manufactured than was originally planned. Mine did a stratospheric mileage before I sold it on. I believe it's still running around, complete with the S 300 FUN number! Bear, urpert, egg and 3 others 5 1

Morris 63 Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 Waitrose Reading yesterday evening. Bit of Smith and Sniff "old money", or just one of us? Remspoor 1
Andrew353w Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 We've been away on holiday in Wales, on a classic car rally. The hotel accommodates car clubs and the A.C. Car club were in attendance, which was interesting, as were several "other" spots; the Land Rover was looking somewhat unloved, as was the Minor....... Oh, and the 2CV was a really old one! Remspoor, Datsuncog, High Jetter and 3 others 6
Andrew353w Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 Llandrindod Wells seems to have slipped into a time warp, as this ancient garage frontage shows.... Apparently this place was a garage in the 1920s and it was from here that the first Ford model "T" in Wales was sold! It even has the arms that allowed the fuel pipes to swing out into the road to refuel cars. I can't imagine any garage having them now! Dyslexic Viking, High Jetter, mk2_craig and 8 others 11

Morris 63 Posted August 5, 2025 Posted August 5, 2025 A few more from the mean back streets of Reading. Andrew353w, Gompo, Remspoor and 2 others 5
Wibble Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Spotted in Sainsbury’s Basingstoke this afternoon: Andrew353w, Gompo, RobT and 4 others 7
yes oui si Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 Alnwick revealed this absolute honey this morning: A bit of digging found a PH thread that hasn't been updated in ages, but has a lot of detailed posts about work on it. Left a note with my number under the wiper, but doubt that they'd move it on Shite Ron, Remspoor, loserone and 2 others 5

I believe it's still running around, complete with the S 300 FUN number! I had one from new in '98 and ran it for many years and loved it. Sadly like all of them it eventually succumbed to rampant rust. Mine ended going back to CZ, probably for spares. I know that one at Bow Bridge Marina and once had a chat with lady who runs it. Despite its tatty look she seemed to be fond of it. Mine was S63 VKE so may have been from the same dealer. Yoss 1

Datsuncog Posted August 7, 2025 Posted August 7, 2025 Some recent-ish spots, for your pleasure. Very clean modded Skoda in for some work at a local garage. MrsDC's Avensis wagon made a friend at Sainsbury's. Non-blingy G-Wagen. Bentley soldiering on. Karmann Ghia doesn't care about your 'Keep Clear' road markings. Aston soaking up some sun. Mustang on the strip. Not the best pics, but you get the idea! Faraway Ovlov. Fiat repurposed to act as a promo vehicle for a hipster cocktail bar: Some more spots at a nearby garden centre, where a local car club was setting off on a run: Viva HC was lovely. Lada was... non-factory, let's say. Nova was very clean and original, right down to the dealer plates. Carlton GSi looked decent too. Datsun 280ZX and very late MGB. Mk2F Polo very similar to one I owned; far from concours, but still in use. Lastly, a Mk1 Transit diesel upgraded with a Mk3 velour interior and sporting what looked suspiciously like Mk IV Zodiac wheeltrims. Morris 63, Andrew353w, RobT and 6 others 9
Aston Martin Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 Amphi Ranger. I didn't get the side as I was in distress. RobT, Dyslexic Viking, Remspoor and 1 other 4
Aston Martin Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 More ferry chod. Gompo, Morris 63, Dyslexic Viking and 3 others 6
500tops Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 Usual poor as piss pic. But this was a Crayford convertible with a VdP face Remspoor, adw1977, RobT and 3 others 6
