This picture deserves a Cavcraft narrative

I've not been here for a while, but couldn't these two beauties go unappreciated.a0785a8c8acc3cef40c6f0b32a30696f.jpg39f5ad32cc7847dc1ada3ef1f0701feb.jpg

Can't remember if I posted this or not - a house with not one but TWO MK1 Multipla diesels! (One doesn't seem to have an engine and is clearly a parts car for the healthier of the two - which itself is up on axle stands on occasion too!

I think the Alto is one of the worst cars I’ve ever driven.

Meanwhile, in Congleton…

The office these are set outside is being redeveloped so I’m guessing they’ll have to be removed soon.

That S3 might actually be worth saving. Would inquire what the deal is.

They’ve both been there years, I’m not sure who to speak to about them. If I see any builders about I’ll ask.

Nearby I spotted this. I recognised the reg and it turns out it belonged to the wife’s grandparents and then her parents when they inherited it. They sold it 10 years or so ago to a woman to left a note on it in a car park asking to buy it. It’s looking a bit sorry for itself now, randomly half the paint has fallen off on the drivers side.

01342 isn't all that local to Stoke.

I saw it on the M25 somewhere between the M40 and M1 junctions heading towards the M1, so that makes sense!

Going by the mold growing inside this has been like this for some time. Going by the arse in the air stance i guess gearbox woes.

From first glance this looks like any ordinary 2CV Special from the 80s... But it isn't! It's a 2CV CT (for Confort) - the top of the range Spanish version of the 2CV.

Spotted this afternoon in Paignton.

Had a quick chat with the young owner; it was his first car and he's owned it for 7 years. It's been VTSd, had a bit of work and some new cams reckons it's pushing 150bhp now. He's saving up to get it painted!

That looks great, doesn't look like it needs painting.

Wow.

It's like seeing Tom Cruise picking through the bin tops for tab ends in Rutherglen. I was star struck.

What does the Highlander spec entail?

4x4? Big engine?

No and no.

This is a 2 litre manual. You get decals, cloth, roof rails, SIPS, alloys, egg crate grill and keep fit windows in the back.

That Rover really looks great. The Studebaker-alike ones are such good-lookers. You should go back and put a polite note through the door informing the owner it's not been taxed since last year, I'd hate to see him get into trouble for that. Not quite sure how people consistently seem to fail to tax their tax-free cars, it takes 30 seconds. (I'm not one of those nutters who looks up the legality of cars posted on the internet, I just wanted to see what year it was. 1954 to save you the bother.)

The roof was suffering from typical PSA lacquer peel
