Lazy spotters thread

I was told about this one by someone who knew I run a cavalier. Apparently its been parked up for a long time, and judging by the moss I would agree. The house is a bit run down as well. I did try knocking but didn't get a response.post-12098-0-01270200-1544985972_thumb.jpgpost-12098-0-45763600-1544986010_thumb.jpg

Points for most technologically different cars possible in the same frame?

Another pic exemplifying how crazily large modern cars have become.

I begrudge the Model X that far less than most for two reasons: one, it's not pretending to be a small car. Two, that there is actually a vast amount of room inside.

It bothers me far more that the vast majority of cars with that footprint don't actually have much more room to play with inside than most cars 20 years ago. Folks travelling in the Xantia for the first time always seem to be surprised with the passenger room in the back.

Okay, I think the 80s era Jag XJ6 was probably the worst offender I've driven for the "huge car, cramped cabin" award. I honestly don't know what they did with all the space...

And this was absolute star of the day by a considerable margin.

Never understand why there's apparently so much chod in That London when they have such stringent emissions regs etc. Also why I never see anything even vaguely interesting when I go there (maybe cos I only get sent to the posh bits for work).

The first two are in Chiswick. Can't get much posher, or expensive anyway. We were after a bacon sandwich. One place was advertising them outside but without prices. We went in, sat down and were presented with menus. £13.95. For a bacon sandwich. Not including drinks. We left.

I mean it's London so you expect maybe £7 or even £8 but that's taking the piss. Apparently it was maple cured bacon and tomato jam (not ketchup) but how much better can it be. Eventuality found a really good one near Kings Cross for £6.50

IIRC if its of historic tax class (aka over 40 years old) then its (U)LEZ exempt :)

all the more reasons to get an invacar

ULEZ doesn't affect cars until April 2019, and then only in quite a small central area.

But from October 2021, cars that are not Euro VI compliant (most pre-2015 cars) will be charged for using a large zone bounded by the North Circular and South Circular. No residents discount.

Historic cars will be exempt, but expect a big drop in the number of 80s - 00s cars in London in three years.

Hyundai Genesis, a nigh-on £50,000 3.8 V6 Hyundai saloon deleted from the price lists after less than 2 years and 50 sales. 30 years from now they'll be the Lonsdale of today.

I couldn't make it out in the photo but have been in one and was quite impressed with it.

Sorry but that bugs me - you don't say Escort Ford or 205 Peugeot do you, so why does everyone get this wrong?

And yes please to whoever suggested a traffic light thread.

It was deliberate :)

Went to view a house with my youngest son this morning and this was parked outside next door's garage

Never seen it before although it is less than half a mile from my house.

Buckingham today

Must track that CF down myself. Looking at the similar colour scheme I wonder if it belongs to the chap who used to have a white and pink Skoda Felicia pickup.

This pair were virtually parked next to each other today in our local Sainsbury's.

Did they stop selling them here? I guess it makes sense now that Genesis (the make) exists, didn't realize you couldn't get any of them in the UK anymore.

EDIT: From what I can tell from their website, they actually don't sell them anywhere in Europe except Russia. Shame as they are now a good alternative to Infiniti or even Lexus. They build brilliant cars.

Spotted this 2007 CTS with the correct engine (3.6l V6) on Monday next to work. I almost bought one for 500 quid nearby a year ago, low mileage but with the crap Opel 2.8 and an antitheft issue that wasnt worth the risk. I just wish GM put more effort into the interior materials, they are very good cars otherwise.

I go into London from time to time for work and the south east is crawling with creaky old motors. Very rarely get chance to pap them though.

When I picked the Land Rover up yesterday this was in, I really wish I could get in and out of one easily as they are such happy little things
