Id recommend a Humbrol 'clear' type of brush paint. Goes on really well in my opinion.

There's not really a lot about Matchbox, it's just short stories, quizzes etc really

Big Geordie of Butterwell sounds like a character from Viz!!

If anyone is after these £5.99 in Home Bargains, they only had this set in.

I guess the 2000GT and Supra sold like hot cakes.

I'm still not 100% convinced it's not just a small, expensive pot of PVA glue, but it works - will do small windows too

Both sides too. There’s a bit of variation in where the real ones went so I’ve just put them on a nice flat area. I’ve seen some put on over the raised rib bits on the sides of the buses, no idea why when there’s so much flat bodywork!
They all vary for being straight and level too so I’ve not gone too mad keeping mine perfect. Some of the real ones are really wonky. Government pay and all that I guess!

IMG_8616.jpeg.e78e5974652a4bb3a94a3a56a8ee2092.jpeg

Did some other transfers while I was at it too, they’re all drying off overnight now then some varnish over them tomorrow.

Did the sunroof I needed tinting grey too. In the end I mixed up some clear varnish and a hint of black. Looks ok so far but once it’s dry tomorrow we’ll see.

Decided to have a bit of fun detailing the red Mk1 Cortina.

Not a fan of the flat red paint,so a coat of clear was on the cards.

Painted the grille, and added some chrome.

New gemstone headlamps and taillamps, chromed exhaust and a bit of tape for the rear number plate.

Quite pleased with the result.
