Some more from the ever-growing CMAC 1/76 3D print range.

@Six-cylinder and anyone who's visited the Field of Dreams should recognise this one. The model is technically an XJ6 but indistinguishable from the Daimler at this small scale.

Funky pink Escort with RS bits, sprayed with some random paint found in Lidl.

I'm sure you all know the legend of 40 RA. I was amazed to find a colour-matched aerosol of the proper Lotus Imperial Green available on ebay.

And a Rover 75 Tourer to go with the saloon. This is the other Tamiya iridescent paint (PS-47), which is supposed to be pink/gold but turned out as a nice subtle purple/brown that hopefully comes across in the photos.

It’s a bit of a pain in the arse with Vauxhall’s in 1:43. Anything that’s shared with the Opel or Chevrolet versions of cars is available but anything from Vauxhall only of the earlier models isn’t available. At least not easily or cheaply.

As far as I know this is the only way to get a Vauxhall Chevette - 3 door is available but the rest you have to make.
Cavelier mk1 - not available.
70’s Victor etc - not available.
PC Cresta - not available.
HC Viva - not available.

I suppose the market for a model of them wouldn’t be anywhere near as big as the Opel or Chevy equivalents. But a PC Cresta would make a fantastic model!

A few of those are available, but as said , you have to pay for the privilege!

BHM do the Mk1 Cavalier in saloon and coupé forms,

Lansdowne do the FD in plain Victor saloon & estate, VX4/90 and Ventora forms

They also did the PC Cresta,

I too cant understand why the HC Viva hasnt been done yet, but Oxford Diecast at least did a nice Firenza for not outrageous money, still widely available.

Vanguards did have a Chevette pencilled in, but was put on ice when things went a bit precarious, funds wise. They have promised more non-Ford releases in the future though and have hinted that the Chevette shouldnt be ruled out.

I was thinking actually when I was chopping the front off those two, I bet I do this then someone will make a Chevette estate/saloon…!

Ill have a look into some of the others you mentioned, I’ve heard of Lansdowne but didn’t know they did those Vauxhall’s.

The HC Viva is crying out to be made by Vanguard’s or Oxford. Such a common car in its day yet gets completely ignored. Most of its competitors are available - Escort, Marina, Avenger etc but no Vauxhall.

Corgi delivery. A car I, and others, have been waiting for them to release as a Vanguards for many years. So yes, another Vanguards Ford, but a new casting at least,

There have been many, many versions of the Mk1 and Mk3 Capris done by Vanguards over the years, at last they've done a Mk2, and they've gone for it big style for the first release with a Signal Orange 3.0S with X Pack kit.

Glad to see quality and detailing is pretty good. Graphics and badging are really good, as is the number plate font.  I think I am alone though in preferring the Mk2 S graphics to the Mk3 ones.

Interior features the yellow Cadiz stripes of the real car. Small.grumble is that the stripes continue up the headrest, I dont think they did on the real thing.

Still well worth waiting for, I think. I've not joined in with any of the diecast sales recently on here, as I knew the release of this was imminent. The standard-bodied Ghia version in Sebring red is also due out this month or next,

and I've somehow also got that on pre-order...  So its going to be an expensive time, good job Ive had some decent overtime in lately. Still, with Mattel obviously not being arsed about selling Hot Wheels or Matchbox in this country any more, I might as well spend my diecast allocation somehow...

Oooff! Nice.
That does look a really good model, detail is excellent. Looks just like a mk2 at the front too, they’ve done a great job of that.

Im keen to see the standard version without the X-pack though. I’ve been so very tempted to pre order one but so far haven’t. Hmm!

That looks superb, really sharp on the detail and much nicer than the Minichamps version (which I sold as it was a German spec and not relatable).

I wonder if they'll ever do a 1.3L in a solid colour 🤔

Just saw this elsewhere on the interwebz. Wasn't it someone on here who used to sell the Val kits? Want.

Or a nice Daytona yellow GT like the one in Brannigan,

Just bought these at a vintage rally, Solido Lancia Beta, Matchbox Specials Lancia Rally, and Astra GTE by Gama, missing a taillight. 3 for €5

I think all the Minichamps Capri II models were left hooker Euro spec GTs, well all the ones I've had were.

Always wanted that signal green Minichamps one, but being LHD and having Mk3 style taillights always put me off.

Nipped into the local Lidl for a few off-brand German beers for tonight, and they've just stocked up today with Hot Wheels, case C by the looks of it. Most of the stuff in there were carry-overs from the case B they had in earlier in the year, and I got the ones I wanted out of that. But I still found a few from my wants list,

Looks like these Godzilla Skylines are as sought after as the R32 version from last year.

IMG_20240714_145907.jpg.dec16c2c473d6abb0acb5713f5fbfc6c.jpg

Was very happy to grab this one. I think Signal red is my favourite colour on this one so far,

They were down as £1.69 each, but looking at the reciept, I appear to have only been charged £1.30 for them. Happy days!

The fact that the only Hot Wheels mainlines I've got from shops this year have been from Aldi and Lidl, and even then from cases from the beginning of this year tells how shite the supply has got around here. I've been seeing videos of N cases being unboxed recently. Still, maybe this time next year, I might find the Mk1 Jag and BMW E30 wagon...

Entertainer came up trumps with another Merc I've been after. No Porsche, of course, but shitloads of the Land Cruiser and Land Rover that seem to be the peg warmers of that range.

I quite like the old W140, its just like a big, big version of my C Class. The Hot Wheels version is a nice big model, weighty too due to the size and metal base. For a F&F car, its not too dicked about with either. Compares nicely with the period Matchbox W140,

Topless wonders, all have detachable hard tops (bar the Eos). I think I have all colour variants of the Pluriel but they did also make one with a giant tyre on the back which was a Tour vehicle at some point. I had one in my watch list for months but couldn't quite justify the £25 plus European postage they wanted.

Old boy at the late boot sale had a big table full of goodies, and despite most of them having price stickers underneath in the £17-£20 range, they were less. Like 10% of that. I scooped up 17 of them and ran away before he changed his mind

That old boy said he had loads of cars yet, and that someone bought all his stuff for £100 the other weekend. God knows what I missed.

I should have asked for contact details thinking about it

Went on a trip in the old VW T4 today and to my surprise I managed to find some good stuff. Porsche, Merc and C4 from my favourite manufacturer Siku. Never heard of Toyota Aqua before I bought this Tomica. Also pleased with the AMX Javelin as I had one as a kid.

Also found some bigger stuff today. Golf GTI from Polistil. London Taxi by Budgie models. Fell head over heels in love with the Euclid Dump truck and its mechanism. The red Volvo is manufactured by Tekno.

Live (ish) spotting! Apologies for terrible photo though, as I had a bag of shopping in my hand, and there were normal people around!

Seen at a dreary shopping centre in Auckland. Never knew such a thing existed, but it seems a good idea.

Normal ones were $4, so about £2. The fancy pants ones like the Alfa 155 touring car were $15, so a bit of novelty tax going on, as I'm sure they go for about $10 in the shops.

At the bottom of that case were a couple of loose bits; bed cover for the wildlife truck, and a ladder - but what from?

Weirdly there’s one of those tanks behind the smoking shelter at work!

The gardener made a (very) little pond type thing and put some toys around it that he’d found in a skip. Think there was action figures too.

This was a couple of years ago but I’ll check if it’s still there the next time I’m passing out of curiosity.

Here it is at the top of the pic
