what sort of condition coop does sir hanker after?

Sir is partial to the salvageable sort of lame duck!  The coop under discussion seems to be complete but probably in need of paint, which is an ideal condition.  I'm interested in almost any family-type or executive cars from the 50s to the 70s, especially American, or police.  I'm also interested in commercial vehicles, from a Minivan to a Mack truck.  All in approximately 1/43 please, and at scrap prices.  Show me whatcha got!

ahh unfortunately maurice marauders and tinacorner gxls are 2 that don't really appear at "scrap prices"- ask me how i know 🙄

my second hand looking one was £10 inc postage and the nice ones over £25!

Am I too late? Is this going to make the 1300 page, I wonder.

The first car I always think of when 1300 is mentioned, because my Grandad had one.

That's my favourite UK Dinky model. I wanted one for years before finding mine at a swapmeet in 1995.

Interesting to see that they change the number plate to coincide with that year. Mine is UVR576D. The 'I's in Dinky plates always make my teeth itch though.

Dinky did that for several years, which amused me because the real-life vehicle could have been replaced in the span of the model, so you'd get for example, a Mini with exposed door hinges but on a K suffix.  And yeah, the I in the INJ series always irked me too.  If I get one now I usually make it into a T or J.

For MIB I'd say that's about right.

I’d bet for £20 it’s been restored and a repro box.

I'm glad that sparked some interest - cos I bought it. Original and unrestored

I'd have snapped that up at that price. You'd get £50 minimum of Ebay for that.

And on the 1300 theme here's my contribution.

Picked these up at the bootsale today:

The most expensive thing was the king size wrecker at £3 so I think I did reasonably well

Hot Wheels Custom Volkswagen and Whizzwheels Escort are decent finds there!

Is that a boxed Laser Wheels Thunderbird too?

Yes, box is quite battered but it was only £2- the Escort is an OMHSS rockets

Some more discount store tootling yesterday...

Checked out 'The Big Sainsburys' in case they had any bargain Matchbox 5-packs on clearance, but no - I've yet to see any Matchbox items in their stores over here.

Plenty of Hot Wheels - though still a 2022 selection.

Some pricey premiums too.

A turn over to another B&M branch revealed some well-stocked shelves, but sadly not the pair of Shelby GT500s in the Flying Customs range that I was seeking.

65555468_IMG_20230407_1946302.thumb.jpg.6325439f5cc3beef364fd0eeeb4a3741.jpg

They also had plenty of mainline Hot Wheels, again nicely displayed though still 2022 lines:

Their Matchbox range was only a couple of clip strips in the sweets aisle though - and nothing we haven't already encountered.

Some nifty bags at the tills, though.

A stop at Tesco indicated that the latest Matchbox case has gone down a storm, with not much left...

And also a new case of Hot Wheels:

Well, excellent.

So - following @FakeConcern's mild interest a few pages back, I picked this up...

454298237_IMG_20230409_1140082.thumb.jpg.ea803f7e90247850fcaaa8c2482b706b.jpg

Here if you want it!

Also - @andy18s, do you need this one still?

1583636480_IMG_20230409_1140084.thumb.jpg.119a93dec237fac0d6d2ff61e364b034.jpg

And I also nabbed this, as I think a few people are still after one?

959564834_IMG_20230409_1140083.thumb.jpg.ed02151a96fdcf45f1deded4cc1b27b9.jpg

Printing is pretty good on this one, from what I can see.

Available to whoever wants it!

If it’s all original that’s a very very good price, potentially £100 profit in that!

Haven’t seen the red Mach E yet so I’ll pick that up when I find it. The wife actually looks for them in Morrisons for me which is a result.

Gah! Missed out on the Audi!

I've seen loads about, several even at the toy fair for £2/ 3 for £5.

I don't think they're especially uncommon so I'm sure one will land near you eventually
