I'm back from two very warm boot sales, netted a fair few bits at the first and hardly anything at the second.

I don't really "do" motorbikes, but there were a couple of interesting ones and I need a wheel donor for a project

 A few Matchbox in colours I didn't have, and a Praire I don't think I've laid eyes on before

A horse box where not all the horses have escaped - mostly because they have broken legs

The Dinky coach looks to be a pre-war 29b issue.  Nice one.

If the rear windows have been cast solid rather than as an aperture, it will be the post-war version but still a nice find. @bunglebus

Two car boots this morning brought me two models 🤔

The Corgi Yogi Bear Jeep was one I'd forgotten about.The Mercedes truck is by Conrad.I nearly didn't buy it,as it was half buried on the top of the stall & I thought it was a Chinese plastic toy.When I picked it up I found that it was all metal so very happy.Shame the screen visor is missing from the roof,but I couldn't complain for a pound 😀

I probably should mention at this point that I did get the big box of diecast from @Dick Longbridge after winning the roffle and was intending to show them off, but I've been feeling like I've been hit by a full size (not miniature) bus. Found some fake Hot Wheels! If they'd had singles I'd have bought one, but I'm not laying out £17 on Chinese tat just for japes

I'm sure Mattel's IP lawyers would be very interested in that... I found some 5-packs in The Range a year or two ago which had packaging very similar to Hot Wheels, but didn't actually rip off the name (also some other packs 'inspired' by Majorette too).

 £17 is rather a lot to ask for a 10-pack, even if it were genuine! Where are such bargains* to be found? Price gun label suggests an independent trader...

The funniest one I saw was a copy of the Lego 'Builders' London Bus set named Lepin 'BUILERDS'.

Found a 2p machine in the arcades full of Matchbox. Think I was annoying the bloke calling him over every time one got stuck coming out

I finally got around to unboxing my roffle winnings since I'm off work today...

We'll start with the bigger stuff. This is all the Matchbox stuff that came out of the box.

Then the Corgi selection...

And the... uhhhh... everything else... I must confess that I do like Darth Mater. The 'FIRE Rescue' was DOA, but I've rebuilt the little red fucker.

There was also this little Popeye boat, which made me laugh far too much for far too long...

This Corgi Jeep is a wonderful thing, too.

This Maltese Bus also appealed to me, massively. Not because I used to have one, but because I'm of Maltese descent, too. Also featuring in this image is my Mum's personalised glass. I probably should find somewhere better for taking photos that isn't a couple of work surfaces in the kitchen.

I really dig this Norev Renner van. It's rather cool.

 

The following are definitely my favourites from this selection...

I've always wanted a Sierra diecast of some sort. This hits the spot.

The doors open too, to show a rather cool interior.

Now, for some peak AutoShite content... a fucking Matra Rancho!

A pink-ish Lotus Europa...

A set of smoll Minis. Sweet.

Now time to move over to the French shite... starting with this little yella 2CV6 with opening doors. Snazzy as 'eck, this is.

And finally, the main reason I spent some dosh that I didn't have at the time on the roffle... a delightfully one-eyed and battered BX Break.

 

Anyways, that's all. I'm very happy though. Once again, thanks to @Dick Longbridge for sending these over after I won the roffle.

I'm not sure who I got it off if it wasn't you - it was maybe four or so years back, and I don't think it was all that expensive (I wouldn't have bought it otherwise!) It's a very nice model, but I've never really bonded with it - maybe if it was a boggo 1.6 Envoy I'd feel a bit different?

Box is a wee bit tatty in places, but what would you say to £15 all-in for the Cavalier and Kadett, including post?

(And never fear, I'll give it a dust beforehand - looks way worse in the pics than it does in front of me.)

I've also got the Opel equivalent of this, but missing a mirror. Bought it for £22 in a shop in Windsor, maybe about 2014/15?

Recent Hot Wheels selection beautifully* displayed in Lidl last night.

Think these are 2022 releases?

I tried to walk away. I really did.

But I bought the red 850 last year and then got rid of it without even opening it, to my chagrin.

So it's out now.

As is the Jeep.
