Many thanks to @doug, I now own a tiny Nissan Prairie. 😁

I saw one of those at the last toy fair along with a Porsche 928 and a couple of others. It was quite hard to persuade myself I didn't need one especially for £3.00

I am selling the majority of my diecast. Other than Bburagos, some 1/18s and childhood stuff, I have no time nor interest in them any more. I'm also keeping models of cars I have owned past and present together with inherited Dinky and Corgis.

There will be a mix of 1/43 - Minichamps, Norev and a few partworks, a selection of 1/24 and the remainder will be smaller items.

Pictures will follow in a separate post in the for sale section in the coming days.

Any 1/36 Corgi/Matchbox?

Not many as most are from my childhood and are staying. I do have a pair of pretty rough Mercedes 240D in the mix though together with a Mercedes 190 which is pretty decent.

So I’ve been to a small holding with a very small and old farm house. Those that see the caravan thread will know. Today I’ve been up with my brother. The house is empty and will be cleared soon so it can be auctioned off. I found these 3 beauties in a draw in a bedroom. Top one, a red 1/24 Lamborghini. I thought nothing of it till I got home and cleaned the mouse piss off it. Franklin Mint. Very well detailed. No box, will be looking for box next time I go up but don’t hold my breath. In the middle is a Tandy RC, mint in unused condition. And on the bottom is a Tonka 1/18 Lambo again, mint condition. I plan to give the RC lambo to my son when he’s old enough. The FM is now on display where it belongs.

Had an hour or so to kill while my 1:1 scale money pit was getting a new exhaust so had a wander around the town. Slim pickings at The Entertainer, but did come away with

Didn't know they'd done another re colour of this, but the paint job looks fantastic.

They had a couple of end-of-line Moving Parts Matchbox to clear at £3 but just went for the Buick. Only other variant was a US market Nissan SUV something or other.

Thanks to @bunglebusfor drawing my attention to this, I'm a sucker for the HW '71 Porker,

Surprise bargain diecast at an Antiques fair today - Corgi and Siku 4 for a £10. Damp rag and a polish and they look fabulous - to think these were in a basket loose 🤐

Siku SJ is one you don’t often see and is well proportioned, though has MC toys similarities. E type has had a repaint and has dubious promotions, but nice all the same.

Corgi rockets E type is a much better shape even though it has a oddly wide (and loose!) back axle. Escort RS/Mexico are always lovely tough, they are in the “pick up though I don’t need them” purchase  category 😁

I don't think I've ever found a Rockets E Type, only Whizzwheels and Growlers. Good score on all of those cars, the Escort is always a popular one, not seen the Siku SJ before

There was no rockets e type. The escort is a thing of beauty.

Anyway, at risk of causing further bankruptcy/ domestic disharmony within the group, this ad has been following me round the internet for several days now...

Yes, it's another DeAgostini mail-order collection, of 1/43 US muscle car-era(ish) stuff.

If you order the first one, you get a FREE* 1/24 Mustang and C3 'Mako' Corvette, arriving at some point in the next year or so, just to screw with your scales.

First issue is apparently £2.99, second issue £6.50, third issue FREE (OMG), then it's £12.99 a throw thereafter. But there are also supposedly some free 1/43 models thrown in every now and again (with the 3rd, 8th, 11th and 15th deliveries).

I actually quite fancy the Challenger R/T, but I feel it would be exceeding unwise of me to start further mail-order diecast commitments at this moment in time...

(No, they're not paying me to shill this shit. Chance would be a fine thing...)

I picked this up from eBay but as a local collection, right under andrewe's nose actually.

Don't know much about tin plate I just liked it, might take it apart and push out the dent in the roof and clean up the rusted bits20220228_112533.thumb.jpg.785c71f9d4d16cdedc4a254c4e2e5884.jpg20220228_112527.thumb.jpg.d27915e0548ebebd625e2b24f95795ed.jpg20220228_112548.thumb.jpg.4430911bbc017eefb1c676075ed0f495.jpg20220228_112555.thumb.jpg.dbccd190d56a2a9c518d37177d3d2eb5.jpg20220228_112600.thumb.jpg.8f7b239b4e4e0c092f78b3dc43d326a9.jpg20220228_112633.thumb.jpg.4bb8910591853f751cba88f4ac8d0983.jpg

Seems to be listed as a Bandai in most places, but I'm not sure if that's keyword spamming with the one Japanese tinplate toy manufacturer that most people have heard of or what.

Interesting. The Bandai ones look like they're battery operated and have opening partsil_fullxfull.1634286793_mqny.thumb.jpg.cac5ddbe22d20ffa383eb3c0920ca4f8.jpg

There is one like mine listed as Bandai but they could be mistaken

Bandai logo was this in the 60s

That GT40 is lovely 👍

It was - currently in bits. It is definitely not a Tonka, it's very thin steel with quite delicate parts and very thin plastic windows, so far so good though

The body was quite badly twisted in the roof/rear pillar but pushed back into shape nicely. Chrome bits currently de-rusting

Got into a conversation with a guy on Facebook who had a few Zylmex he was selling - didn't need most of them but I was happy to take a Bubble20220228_145406.thumb.jpg.af2c82dcccf3fc1795bb78d108ebf29f.jpg

I have this one but only as a Crazy Wheels

Chatting on messenger he sent me some low res pics of others he wanted to sell so I grabbed a Lamborghini Miura20220228_145446.thumb.jpg.2265c77aff8d7de6decb0ff94e33c0ad.jpg

I also noticed the blue and orange VW Caravettes, I always check out the blue ones just in case they're the rare one with the fuel flap casting...20220228_145658.thumb.jpg.bba8f9f567c7c742a8505d3ac6c29f30.jpg

Excellent! That one can go in the resto pile as I scored a better one a while back.

I also noticed a Matchbox Pontiac GP Coupe lurking - bit squished sadly20220228_145539.thumb.jpg.e023e521a5b011dfea56bacf7e8243b5.jpg

But this Racing Mini is OK

He has more to go through but I've already called dibs on an orange "Bender" Speed Kings Dodge Charger Dragster

Gave that tin plate GT a good polish and painted the headlights and window surrounds. Greased up the friction motor so that's working nicely now20220301_094652.thumb.jpg.5509dccc7fdd44fce21bcdf841b50e0d.jpg20220301_094707.thumb.jpg.4b5cd71c4cb777984d079beaaa5eb0dc.jpg20220301_094739.thumb.jpg.3a16c12ae8b24d2d42e045e8943b1907.jpg20220301_094914.thumb.jpg.9112a8bd58419506179fe59e9274269b.jpg

Oh and straightened the body and base out

Even although I've lost my interest in diecast I still can't resist a model or variant of a car I currently own.

I already have 3 Vanguards Rover 75s and 2 ZTs together with a 1/18 Roewe 750 but I've always wanted the Schuco MK1. These were launched to coincide with the release of the 75 in 1999. Some had Rover branded boxes, the card outer sleeve is missing on this one.

The Vanguards MK2 is an excellent model but this surpasses it in terms of detail and paint finish. You can see* the wood effect I the dashboard in my excellent* picture. Sadly no smiley plate and it's left hand drive too so the Vanguards scores points on this front.

Very pleased with this one, I'm still in the lookout for a Wedgewood blue example to match my first 75 I had back in 2018.

Why is the Shovel Nose LHD

Matchbox Speed Kings K-32 Shovel Nose

But it's smaller version, the Clipper, RHD?

Why does the Mercury Cougar Villager have a tab that sticks out as if it should have a tow hook, but doesn't?

Picked up a 2021 ford bronco (hot wheels) in Asda yesterday, still no luck with a red F-150 lightning or a 67 galaxie NASCAR though!
