You jammy, jammy get. How is a neglected 21-year-old Fiat that clean? How? Just does not compute.

This car just gets better and better!

Next time i'm having sex i'll be thinking of this Croma!

Think of 3 legged kittens or the death of a much loved relative / pet. Otherwise it will be over too soon

"...and then it turned out, that the old Fiat wasn't painted silver; it in fact was made of solid silver. Hallmarked and everything. Which was nice."

:lol::lol::lol:

THREAD OF WIN - Autoshite back at it's very best, great work Bo1, and those plates really make the car for me.

One for the Bo11ox museum...

When I was at Uni, a like-minded mate and I proposed just such a museum, "The Historic Everyday Traffic" museum, dedicated to the otherwise uncelebrated.

The obvious Renault 20s, Tagoras, Mk 1 Orions and Chamades of this world, together with an Iveco Turbostar, Leyland Roadrunner, Bedford HA van....

Excellent choices! I'd come to see those and reminisce....

That is superb, you took a risk and it paid off, well done!

Time for some useless information - the Dad of the first girl I ever fancied had a maroon top-spec Croma which, if I'm honest, is the main reason I fancied her :) However, I never got the chance to enjoy the delights of either of them...

My word, that is an amazing story, a nice bit of badly needed luck, well done!

25/10

Jammy sod. I wanna see the interior all valeted up now, so I can finish myself off

Mr B -excellent. Turning into a true italian tat fest up there!

I have a red one of these -similar age manual with tatty rear archs. Bought because I thought it woud be a hoon to drive- but it turned out suprisingly boring. Very competent - just no fun.

Now barned..

I kinda look forward to your first impressions -once legal.

Looks a goody though -nice buy

I think automotive Karma has been restored after the horrors of mr b's cavalier and rover.

Posted

I willing to put a proxy bid of £295 on this total WINWAGON for when you get bored with it.

Posted

after seeing it all mossed up i thought it was gonna be full of holes, but has turned out to be a mega clean motor....well done MR B :D

Posted

What with you and Trig it's been a bargain-tastic few weeks. What a honey.

Posted

Did you keep the RAT LOOK moss to go ebay at a later date? Was there some crazed tyre lever action going on too?

Posted

Certainly was some tyre levers being swung about, I nicked a couple of tyres off the Argenta to get it mobile. They are ancient and hard as fook though so need replacing with new before it hits the road.

The ARG is in for its first ever UK MOT this Saturday!

The plan is obvious. Get Wat to take some swanky pictures at Tatton Park grounds or something and "Do a Doctor" and sell it on ebay for mega coin.

Posted

Its a solid and reliable plan, but lets not forget its a Fiat Croma automatic, transport doesnt get much less sought-after than that! I dont think i'll be retiring to the 'costa del bo11ox' off the proceeds of this anytime soon.

Posted

So will you be retiring it to the "Musee de Bo11ox" any time soon?

Posted

No I dont think so. seems like too much bother as i can't A-frame it.

Posted

You could drive it there and bring something back to play with for a while.

Posted

What a superb car, really enjoyed reading this thread :D it's amazing what's still out there!

TOP SCORE! GR8 4 TWINK DONER etc. That's even more shite than our old Regata!

Posted
thankfully these are rubbish twink doners!

Yeah, I'd be well pissed off I ordered a kebab and got some balancer shaft in there or something. Bloody Italians.

Use the Croma to A-frame the 220 there, then drive that back.
