Our Dirty Little Secrets.

I thought I'd come clean and admit to my liking of a few cars that don't normally feature on the pages of Autoshite very often. Feel free to ridicule me or add your own guilty pleasures.

Here's the first...

I honestly think I'm the only person who uses Enterprise car hire and asks for a downgrade. I really love the way the colour coordinate the instruments to the seat fabric. A cheerful little car that seems well specced and is fun to drive.

Here's another Chevolet that I'm embarrassed to lust after...

Back in 1987 I played an Atari ST game called Test Drive and this was my favourite car in the game. I know that they have the same BHP per litre as a Briggs and Stratton rotorvator but to me they are well horny. I'll have mine in white please!

And finally....

Ever since I was a little boy I've had a soft spot for these. I don't care that I'm 6 '2" I still want one! It would have to be air cooled and with a full length sunroof though. I even know someone who used to drive one from Wirral to university in Edinburgh every term.

I suppose I could raise the funds to by any of them quite easily but I haven't (yet). I think I now need to go for a shower to wash the guilt away.

I hate Minis but secretly like them whenever I have a go in one. IF anyone asks I'l deny it though!

I loved the original Test Drive for the Atari ST. I always chose the Lambo though. It was GR8 when you got a speeding ticket on your windscreen :P

Everyone just has to look at the bottom left car on every reply I post to see my UNACCEPTABLE motor.

Tell you what though, you know those Nissan Tiida things? I really like the tall styling of them :D

I know its a dick extension and probably the same BHP per tonne that Warrens Chevy has , but what a car ( not in orange though , thats cheesey )

I would have a yank muscle car without a second's hesitation. I have painted 2 of my cars matt black, which I know isn't very popular around these parts and I did used to be part of the Max Power scene

Crumbs, it's not a crime to like a Corvette or Charger. I would have thought it'd be fairly hard to dislike either.

What's wrong with the Alfa, they are well tasty, Either I've got low standards or you guys are all snobs!

Here's mine:

The top spec car has all the kit I could ever want + like the Matiz & Panda its nippy & easy to manoevre. Picanto might even be my next car.

Forgot these Nissan Cubes :?: , If its a crime to like it , Im guilty as charged

Astra VXR Nurburgring. I had one when I worked for a Vauxhall dealer. Loved it

I'll like it more with a 2.0 Zetec.

... and for ones I don't own.

I have a truly massive urge to own one of these.

Wanting one of these would be crime not a HOT YANK.

I want one of these really very much and in this colour, but not for any more than £500

Can't see anything wrong with wanting a Cube or Brera, I'd love either.

I'd also love one of these -

I'm really fond of the Rover Streetwise, a 2.0TD on steel wheels would be a dream.

Kia Ceed (or perhaps Hyundai iDirty). Probable future shite.

Not too big externally, plenty of space for 5 people, solidly made yet unpretentious, very well-specified. Build quality better than Golf, motorway cruising more relaxed than anything under 2 litre. It's my first choice when renting a car- even had a month-long rental (they had applied a discount twice and the price ended up being forty quid or something silly). Won't be spending anything like 5 grand on one, tho...

The Peugeot 607 is almost in autoshite territory nowadays, but, in any event, it's a great modern car. Will probably get one when they become a bit cheaper.

I never realised that these were available with steel wheels. I like it. Wheel design is quite reminiscent of the Mark 2 Golf GTi 8v of the late 1980s and early 90s. 8)

I owned this for 6 months last year. I bought it in spite of the slightly chavvy wheels and lowered 2" as I just fancied owning a 360 GLT. Was definitely a guilty pleasure, although I much prefer it's replacement which is my current badermatic 2.0 Montego. I'm liking a bit of comfort these days :)

I hope the original centre caps are under those awful trims.

They are super rare on steel wheels. I'm a big fan of stylised steel wheels with centre caps, function over form.

I'm going to up the ante with this...

I know that most people on here would rather spend a weekend handcuffed between Jim Davidson and Gary Bushell than drive a "Fauxrarri" but I've always had a soft spot for replica exotics.

Apparently there's clubs & meetings & camp-overs for these - already

Another one for me would be owning a Discovery 1. But I can't do it as I'd feel such a idiot having a 4x4 in suburban London.

Love these, sadly not many left. 1600cc S Series with EFi please!

My first Montego had the engine from a Vitesse in it. Still a 1.6, but 20 BHP up. The MOT guys face was a picture, as he was expecting a big SU, not EFi.
