I really liked HHH's Ledbury but couldn't stretch so I found this little wonder for a handful of beans, Tax & test until May, 16k on the clock, 1 elderly owner & FSH, runs like a Swiss watch, a 1993 1275cc Clubman! Picked it up in Swindon yesterday, love it!

You bitch!! where you you keep dragging this weapon grades tat from? Its awesome!!

What a honey!!! I reckon the steel bumpers and 13" wheels with simple trimz is the best maestro recipe, they look much more 'right' in the basic spec. They are a utilitarian sort of shape and dressing them up with big placca bumpers and fancy wheels looks daft IMO.

This little monkey truly is awesome and a HUNNY!, I am besotted! It'll be getting my special polish!

Wow! 8) That is proper shite! It even has the original wheel trims that omit the Austin Rover/Rover Group badges.

Does it still have a manual choke ?

I'VE BEEN MAESTROED!!!

I wish they'd made those trims for my Fuller Figure wheels. Though I shouldn't in theory care any more, as I offloaded my Ledbury yesterday (p/x for a ROVER 820 COUPE CHARIOT OF THE GODS with Ladalout, a superb chap and occasional poster round these parts). I'll probably post some pics and that up tomorrow or something, when my lens-obscuring throb-on finally begins to subside).

Bloody hell that's nice, top work that man.

ORSUM. I saw a old boy driving a beige one of these a few days ago on a K plate as well, It was only on the roundabout near my house, Sadly it was getting dark so there wasn't enough light for a photo.

Eeew?

Fab find!

That is lovely, and photographed in front of Dulwich College if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to keep and eye out for it next time I'm through there :D

Not my style -but it does look clean & tidy. Nice buy. Telling us you havent polished that already?

(I'll be calling steve later today -or early tomorrow. This Friday looks OK)

That is wonderful! Always loved the Maestro, such a tidy design. I think that might be late enough to have been virtually hand-built. When BMW found out those and the Montego were still being made, the Board had a fit!

wowzers, tidier than Paris Hiltons bush....

Any pics? i imagine it to be like a hawks nest TBH.

Yeah, but in reality I suspect that we'd all be chomping on it like a dog eating hot chips.

Nice Maelstrom as well. Is K plate the last if the original run?

Every post you now make will be read in the style of this man -

The only Maestro to have is the basic spec version. None of that VDP skullduggery, just blanking plugs everywhere!

That looks very nice, I had a Clubman Diesel (non Turbo) it was a good car "jack of all trades, master of none". That was until the electrics went into meltdown!!

I think the last of the original Maestro's are on M plates. I think they were officially on sale until the end of 1994.

I do like Maestro's but its not on my hit list unless its an MG turbo. I am happy admiring them from afar. That does look proper tidy though.
