twosmoke300 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I disagree about the Laguna 2 being dismal to drive . Both the lagonad and the 407 are far far nicer to drive than a bmw or Audi of a similar era . The suspension and ride quality is in a different league . Comfy seats and plenty of toys would make these brilliant mile munchers if you could get the unreliable shit to stay running between services . Don't get me wrong they are terrible cars esp from a mechanics point of view I just think that driving them is the best bit beko1987, Zantimisfit and Rusty_Rocket 3
sierraman Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I'd love one but the reputation is a bag o shite as Paul Calf would say. At £475 though worth a bag as if you had 6 month out of it you've done well. Even Ross Mcwhirter might want a call to let him know you've done 6 months of trouble free motoring from a Laguna.
forbeslongden Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I spotted a Mark II Golf which was spotting a K plate the other day, not sure how many were registered that late but also just found this.... When were these killed off?! Skizzer 1
Skizzer Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 That's a very late one, but they were selling very slowly at the end. Mine is one of the run-out special editions (one of 500) and it's on a J, there are quite a few Ks around but L must be rare. The (mk3-based) replacement arrived on an M plate, as far as I remember, though it might have been late L.
Sealtainn Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I think the Clipper etc ran until 1993 so that would have been one of the last ones
quicksilver Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 One from the Van Nats yesterday. Declared manufactured 1990, imported in 1996 and given an N-prefix. Surely the mighty DVLA can't have got it wrong, that never* happens.
Tayne Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 What tyres did it have? They look really grippy. oldcars, UltraWomble and Mr A Lawrence 3
quicksilver Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Not a late registration in the usual sense but certainly a puzzler. Ex military Dodge Commando whose body plate indicates it was built in 1985. When demobbed in 1995 it was correctly registered as a B-prefix so how and why did the next owner three years later manage to get it re-registered to an E? Strangely DVLA don't give a year of manufacture and claim it was first registered in 1998, which doesn't fit its known history.
Pillock Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 That's a very late one, but they were selling very slowly at the end. Yeah, for about 18 months the tin-tops were on Mk3, a 1991 design and the floppier ones were build around a Mk1 design from 1936. Always amazes me how they got away with it, when every other manufacturer of small convertibles has a new model to match the hatchback. Escort, Astra, Peugeot - none of the rivals scrimped like that. And it carried on, the Mk4 Golf was alongside the Mk3 Convertible although they threw some new headlamps on it.
Lord Sterling Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 A bit too rich for our tastes but very late: brickwall, RichardK, Banger Kenny and 3 others 6
oldford Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 A bit too rich for our tastes but very late: The series 3 carried over to 1992 in V12 form as the XJ40 V12 wasn't launched until 1993, so this one isn't really that late. Eddie Honda and NorfolkNWeigh 2
Ghosty Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 this late one?Nah, the 'arse' Mégane was 52 or 03 on IIRC. That's just one of the last ones.
Hendry Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 I don't think that's all that late Andy, when I stayed in Motherwell there were shitloads of 59 plate Matiz knocking about all bearing Peter Vardy bumf. cms206 1
Ditchfinder General Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Is this late for a kakaThe missus's mother had a run out one on a 58 plate. I see it bombing round still and needless to say it's a bit frilly round the edges.
Ditchfinder General Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Wot about this? Soz for sideways pic. Lacquer Peel 1
Negative Creep Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 About the most interesting thing my dashcam has picked up so far
UltraWomble Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Is it just me that thinks these look donkey jizz with the two badges on the front?
Pillock Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Vauxhall Corsa FC02HWXDate of first registration - 1st August 2002Date of Build - 1999 That's got a story to tell. Maybe because odd (and mega undesirable) 1.2 Auto spec?
Sealtainn Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 There are a few Mk1 Ka's floating about on 09 plates Sent from my E2105 using Tapatalk
Alexg Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 The Laguna II and Chrysler PT Cruiser are the only two cars I can think of that share the accolade of being too shit for Autoshite. What a difference 8 months make. Asimo and BorniteIdentity 2
FakeConcern Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 Is this late registration madness or not?I can't seem to get it to go up the right way. Oh well!
Felly Magic Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 I've seen one on a 14 plate, Chinese built heaps FakeConcern 1
