SiC
Just booked Mrs SiC and myself into a hotel in Ruabon on Saturday night. We're explore Llangollen/Pontcysyllte Aquaduct during the day on Saturday. Then getting to chumly on Sunday morning to wander around for a few hours. I'll be going into the regular car park as, depending on the weather, I'll be taking either my Z4/330i and they aren't exactly very show worthy interesting cars. Plus I want to not get back too late on Sunday so only spending a few hours there probably leave 1pm at the latest, so not sure I can really justify being in the show area. Anyway I intend swinging past if I see the banner.

Tent already packed and I can't be arsed looking at hotel rooms now so I'll take my chances. It would be somewhat ironic if I leave behind the first warm dry weekend the west of Scotland's seen in a month to go and camp in a thunderstorm! mat_the_cat, juular and Saabnut 1
Talbot
It would appear that I need to bring the merc-o-barge to this, as the sensibility of bringing a 40+ year old car that hasn't really been on the road for a long time over 200 miles is beginning to bite. Is there still a ticket spare, or can I just nip into the autoshite area?

dollywobbler
Wondering if booking a table at the Real Slim Shady is a good idea tonight. Who is eating? So far, myself and Mat the Cat + Mrs cat.
SiC
FFS I think it'll be the boring, not worth showing 330i for me. No point taking a convertible if I'll be driving it with the roof up all the time due to torrential rain. Looking like it will be a wet day, so definitely bring coat weather! So chances are we'll be OK just eating whenever - obviously depending on how many are coming! dollywobbler

As for the weather, I'm planning on taking the folding camper to the event so I'll put it up to dry out. And give us somewhere to shelter... Weather forecast is leading me towards the Saab rather than the 2CV! KruJoe and Saabnut

KruJoe
Lin and I had wanted to be at The Shady tonight for dinner and car camping but we've had a busy day with the cottages, so we're doing the early morning dash from North Yorks tomorrow. Look out for us in the Delica, we'll catch up with y'all sooner or later. Right now it's wearing a "60" plate but might accidentally have the original Pleasure Wagon reg displayed by the time we get there. brownnova
I believe show opens at 10. Admission is possible from 8! Cars are supposed to be in place by 11 at the latest, and they have an overflow show bit at Chumley usually.
