Flippin lucky find those tyres eh. Blimey I dodged a bullet there. Fair play to the Habileads, they don't vibrate and both their inner edges seem happy enough

I'm hoping to take the A31 through Guildford and cut that lot out, fingers crossed!

I asked Gemini AI the following question: can you please write a short poem about a man driving a Simca 1100 from Spain to the UK?

Through Basque hills the Simca strains,
A Gallic sigh, a box on wheels.
A lone Brit at the wheel it reigns,
Chasing memories, sun-kissed fields.

The engine hums a steady song,
Miles tick by, the landscape flies.
The Pyrenees they lumber along,
A ribbon unwinds beneath blue skies.

French countryside, a blur of green,
Then darkness falls, the Simca dips.
Beneath the Channel, unseen,
The tunnel swallows them in its grips.

On English soil they burst anew,
A world transformed, yet strangely near.
The Simca sighs, its journey through,
A Spanish dream, forever clear.

A man with a Simca so keen,

From Spain to the UK was seen.

In sunny weather so fine,

He drove, feeling divine,

In his trusty 1100 machine.

brilliant follow. Sounds like an epic

Don't forget to pay your Dartford crossing charge in plenty of time in all the excitement of getting it home

We have have just seen and waved to a brown Simca piloted by @Mr_Bo11ox at a good turn of speed heading west on the M20 at Ashford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well done that man.

I hope you took a photo, like them trucking photo folk, with the driver giving a “tang” as he passes by on the limiter. ðŸĪĢ

155x13 80 FTW.  They really are perfect for our modern day road surfaces.

Good luck for your last leg home.  I am currently watching hailstones bounce off my cars outside at 45 degree angles.

Boll went for the brown west of the Pyranees

Continentally planned to journey with ease

Rattling smartly along then the liquorice blew

He was up the creek on a hand powered canoe

Till he stumbled across a brace of pricey pneu

This is over far too quickly, can't someone kidnap him and the Simca and take them back to Spain so he has to start all over again?
