Got home safely, clutch is definitely slipping so will investigate that. Apart from the clutch it's a very comfortable ride! It also only used 1 bar of fuel

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. I love these things! I owned this one, twice! It got passed around the forum a bit then left our little circle and is presumed dead now. I’ve a lot of time for them; quite interesting and surprisingly good.

I love that body kit! Was that a sports edition?

A new clutch kit has been ordered. Will pop into my local garage to see how much they'll charge to fit it today.

I had a baleno from Vince on here . I couldn't get over how economical it was on petrol...

Went on a little drive to Asda. The green dials remind me of my old Proton now owned by @Rust CollectorManaged to get it booked in at the garage to get the clutch done. Was quoted £350 which isn't too bad! Once step closer to becoming a daily.

My first job once I'm home is to grab the Proton from the farm, patch the holes in the sills and get it in for a ticket!

That was a sad end for that one after all your hard work.

The new clutch kit arrived yesterday so now all I have to do is wait until the 8th to take it into the garage. I had a bit of false hope this evening. I adjusted the clutch cable just on the off chance it was causing the clutch to slip. After I adjusted it the slipping went away and bite point seemed normal. So I went on a 20 mile drive and all seemed fine, I even booted it a few times to try to get it to slip and it wouldn't. Until I got down my road and it started slipping ever so slightly again. I managed to get these photos whilst I was out though!

Dropped her off at a friend's garage today to get the clutch replaced. Hopefully should be done by Friday!

Had some time to tinker with the trabant today, readjusted the timing and she's now running better! Hopefully I don't need to take things apart for a while.

That's the new clutch fitted, all ready for the FoD on the 12th. Might give her a full service before I leave too as the plugs do look a bit old. According to my mechanic the old clutch was like a wafer biscuit.

That's 500 miles covered since I bought it on the 25th. 350 on the new clutch, I have to say it drives very nice. It's a good motorway cruiser, would be even better if It had cruise control though! I am tempted to do a Better Call Saul tribute car but that means spraying it yellow...

Has been a busy week for my 2 cars, on Thursday I used the Trabant as a secondary wedding car for my brother and his wife. We used the Beetle as the main vehicle.

On Saturday me and the Suzuki ventured to the FoD for the weekend to meet @Six-cylinder and @Mrs6C and their wonderful selection of cars. Thank you for being so welcoming! I loved it. Hopefully next time I'll have the courage to bring the Trabant up.

It was also very nice to be able to take the 404 round the field. It did bring back memories of when @Weird Carused to own it

Today I took the Trabant for a little blast down Southsea and got some air in my tires as they were all on 14psi! It drives a little better now (for a Trabant)45E3347F-8636-440F-9D73-6238FD5895A2.jpeg.702eefba0ed781f211a1100617b39610.thumb.jpeg.fe19968bc5b3292076780db49fcf7f65.jpegD48F5589-091A-40BC-AB9E-A2EC8A2A646E.jpeg.b4262ad188ff4100e920c35e755d2e5c.thumb.jpeg.aa66230ce9f4599bd2819cea7e693b53.jpeg

Took the Trabant for a 52 mile trundle to a car show this evening. Was hurtling along quite merely on the bypass! I even let @Weird Car drive home.

Finally got round to installing a radio in the Trabant today. Quite chuffed with myself to be honest. I used the existing wires from the fuel consumption guage that didn't work due to the car having a new fuel tank and the old parcelshelf speakers from my 205. I can now listen to the soundtrack to Heißer Sommer whilst smoking the city out.

Yet another collection caper today. The Suzuki is going so I've acquired another daily, this time it's a little bit bigger but cheaper to insure funnily enough.

Apologies for not updating but the weather was atrocious and dark. I now own a 1992 Rover 820 Si!
