OK I’m a bit obsessed with this thing. Insured it properly today and been running around in it, even stopped at the jet wash on the way home and spent £3 on 6 minutes of soap.

Bodywork wise if I replaced the boot, NSR door and front bumper, it’d actually be fairly tidy. This will be extremely unlikely to be something I do unless one in colour came up for breaking locally with very good pricing…

Got to be worth a punt? ;)

EDIT: curiosity got the better of me…

Aux belt snapped and taken the timing belt out? Probably not quite as much of a bargain as mine but still a nice looking V70…!

.. could just be aux belt snapped and made a noise, battery went flat. Stick a belt on it and jump start it and have a fixed car! Come on someone.. take a punt!

Sorry you mentioned about getting all sweaty and I assumed that's how you cleaned it.

Yeah you. You're getting good at this 😂

Honestly, if I had the driveway space I probably would go and at least stick a jump pack on to see if it’s just died because of a lack of belt.. if that’s all that’s happened, someone’s going to get a better bargain than I have!

My other half has just said that if I can find a working Volvo for £400, I can have it.

Twenty randoms, please.
Not entirely serious but I would go in for a few tickets on a roffle.

Offer £400 for the V70 I linked, I’ll treat you to an aux belt and lend you my jump pack x

I parked next to a 940 earlier at Sainsbury's and it gave me a special feeling.

Wonder how many 100 quid 2nite M8s he's had?

Or aux belt went and the engine did a mega overheat as there was no longer any drive to the water pump....

Random me

I think you’ve pretty much bought the last ticket for a roffle that doesn’t exist for a car that’s not for sale in a wanted thread!

I use Cillit Bang. The one in a green and purple spray for burnt on oven grease. Seems to do a better job for a couple of quid than the "proper" wheel stuff for a fiver or so.

Very very occasionally you can drop on something with a simple overlooked fault but in all honesty they will have been down that road and been told it’s Roy Orbison. In this climate not many people are going to bin a car off for a £20 belt or a battery.

I bought one recently for just that reason - fuzzy and warm feeling (heated velour seats maybe)

Had a short day at work today so managed to get outside for an hour and clean the wheels with actual wheel cleaner, and also washed it again by hand rather than jet wash brush on pole.

Im so bloody happy with this thing.

I hope it breaks down slightly too far away to walk home when the boot's full of shopping for the freezer.
