This is the Capri this i went to look at just before i bought the Cortina 3 weeks ago, It was very ropey having had a very poor respray, being covered in overspray runs and having rust coming through again as well as being pretty scabby underneath and having a totally rotten roof.

The then seller offered it to me for £1500 but it wasn't worth it, Now another dealer has it for sale for £3995!, I can't even see what they have done to it to justify that amount of mark up!

Aw crap, that looks lovely. In fact, if it weren't for the amount of work I've seen you putting into your two (And knowing full well I'd never get even 10% of that), I'd be having an argument for the rest of the evening over the proceeds of selling the Almera.

I especially like the Dymo labels for the dials and switchgear. Awesome.

A little bit salty, but if you asked for marks out of ten, I'd give it one.

Same place also has this cracking VAGSHITE:

This one is probably too far north for most, a nasty colour, underpowered and generally unsuitable, but if I was after a boot with a lower lip I'd be looking at this:

Ahhh, the memories

MOPED SHITE

As a former Tomos Service & Warranty workshop owner, I can confirm that the memories are not good ones! duh.gif

Avoid! sign0195.gif

These little bugger's have a voracious appetite for throttle cables (easily remedied with riffler files) and amazingly expensive service schedules (if you're paying for labour charges).

Hard to believe that these were outselling Honda's at one time...

I really like that. I could see me smoking about in that. However I have no money so I cant. :(

This car needs putting on some truck wheels then driving full tilt under the lowest bridge in Britain. With a bit of luck the force of this 'accident' would smash all that shit off the roof and then contort the car to such a degree it'd be issued a 'Cat A' status abd be crushed immediately.

'this is the best VW I have ever driven'

Fuck help the others one then.

£1,800 for a pile of scrap that's running badly and needs a fair amount of work for the forthcoming MOT.

I had a Disco - I remember repairing the brake cables with 13a wire and cable blocks and removing a link from the chain to take yp the slack as it was so very badly worn. Only because I couldnt get parts from the local bike shop.

Don't let me stop you I certainly cant find money or space for another at the moment, I stuck it up here to try and tempt other members to the obscure fiberglass darkside...!

If it helps a later rebel van was recently advertised for for £2000 it was less clean and tidy than that estate and had lots of interest before the seller decided he wanted to keep it... daft as it sounds someone could buy it get a test on it and probably turn a small profit. If as the seller says it runs, drives and stops I can't see that estate taking much to get it back on the road...

Ok, I don't know what a decent 2cv is worth, but this looks rather well done. Bit salty for me at £5k though.

It does look nice and summery in those pics.

other mods can be arranged i.e. fitting a canapé

Bloody hell, I had a pre-facelift 2.8GL in the early eighties.......and it was nowhere near as nice as that one is 30 years later!

Joyless shitheaps look like fully nude ladies when they're 150 quid with a year's ticket! This guy's also shifting some supa-barg Focuses.

No pics of this rhd 318i, just north of Paris. I mention it as it's on sale for ONE HUNDRED NICKER. Go out on the Eurostar and ferry this back with a boot full of booze - weigh the fugger in at Dover and you're quids in! Well, you are if you push it to Calais, crash through the P&O ticket barrier and put on a successfully lucrative one-man improv show in the lorry drivers' lounge. Then hitch home up the M20 with your 40 crates of Caca de Pelforth. BEST DAY TRIP EVER.

A new survey (mine) has established that 78% of all cars sold for under £500 are Megane koops. This is the "sort after" Alize, which has full leather and footwells marinaded in rusty battery acid. £295 with an almost irrelevant MOT.

Pif-paf-pouf! That's better. 40k R5 for £299! Slushbox though and no mention of MOT.

If I was flogging this, there is one aspect of its appearance that I'd be extremely keen to avoid any mention of. What say you, vendor?

Alloy Wheels (Chrome/Black - Cost Over £800 New) £300(without wheels) £500 -with wheels. £300-just wheels. £300

Our survey says: GIANT TIT.

I really like the looks of that 2CV pick-up. A hell of a lot better than most of the home-brew disasters I've seen over the years.

However, apparently there have been some 'interesting' mods to get the wide wheels to fit...

If you look at his site, all the "supa-barg" stuff is "sold" but we have other cars. Mostly crap like CityRovers and other unsellable orphans.
