'Aero look' mark 3 Ford Granada 1.8 GL. Shite spec at the time ('L' spec came in 1987/8 iirc) plus 1.8 Pinto engine ( I assume carburettor not fuel injected) for leisurely performance. Seems like the only optional extra the first owner splashed out on was black paint.

I posted a link to that the other day Proggy. The L was at launch, which I think was so basic, it didnt even have PAS, then the GL had PAS, a better stereo, and leccy mirors, plus slide/tilt sunroof

Not sure what it had exactly now, but I remember FATHA_RML245's' Granada 2.0l GL being pretty miserable. I may be wrong, but I'm sure it had a manual choke...

That could be a very faulty memory though.

I would say the manual choke was a conversion, as Ford auto chokes have always been problematic

The roof of that tranny would look better in the Sunburst Red that the rest of the van is in, and I notice the back bumpers are on the wrong way round cos the wrap around end caps look to be missing. Nice van though, and I would if I had the money. There used to be a custom van called 'Blue Angel' near where I lived in Leeds, that was Wedgewood Blue, and fully decked out inside, and fitted with a Ratcliff wheelchair lift in the back for the owner's wife. the van had the deep chin spoiler as fitted to the Di versions, and Sierra Laser wheeltrims, plus dummy chrome side pipes. Shame I never got photos of it.

What the hell is that hiding in the archway I wonder?

'NEEDS VERY LITTLE TITEVATING. VERY LITTLE EXPENSE...SADLEY INTERIOR NEEDS ATTENSION'

-11/10 for photography skills, colour blindness and a bit of rope attached to the front where he had to tow start it. Oh, and spelling.

If it wasn't a Sierra that would be rather tempting. As it is, I like that red Rover above... GR9 for reliving Rita, Sue and Bob Too! Ovlov was a total bagrain at that price, I most certainly would.

Posted

That pink is just so out of place! I would like a pink Cresta too, but not when it comes with a blue interior and certainly not with half the car still blue! Oh dear.

Posted

I too would love a pink Cresta - had a yellow/white one and a silver/blue one!

I reckon he's knocked 2k off the price of that one with that paint job!

This car is not concorde but it is a very good usable classic car

The 'lucky' winner won't need a pilot's licence then...
