Ebay Tat Volume 2 - Sadly deceased.

The soft top Renault is a US-spec model - presumably built in the US as well, so I would have thought parts availability would be a problem. It has an auto box too. I remember my father driving a Renault Alliance auto saloon on a trip in 1985 and saying it was one of the most gutless cars he'd ever driven.

This looks like it might go cheap. Low miles, longish MOT and an unfitted LPG kit, at £82 with less than a day left

Going back a couple of pages, that BMC bus is fantastic. The one that was restored a couple of years ago recently sold for some absurd amount of money at auction in the States, I mean like hundreds of thousands of dollars. It did have works history though. I believe only 3 of them survive, this definitely needs to be saved!

that Colt looks nice too Gary!

I think its the 3rd go on here for that Marina.

Good to see it again though, is this ace trip computer a new feature?

Its essentially a Renault 9 without a roof and with a load of emisions control crap and federal spec bumpers. Aside from that parts availability probably wouldn't be too bad.

I reckon if you could get hold of that and a scrap 1.7 R9 / 11, replace the engine and gearbox with the manual box and 1.7, convert it to RHD and get rid of all the US bumpers and whatnot, you'd have a fairly nice thing.

Crikey, that trip computer is legendary! And it's by Sparkrite to boot.

I'd love that Renault Alliance...

I can see the engine from that LNA ending up in a 2CV and the rest over the bridge.

Unlikely. Doesn't give much more power, isn't a straight drop in and amazingly, these and the Visa had electronic ignition! They are surprisingly nice little things though the LNs, but a bit like a 2CV with all of the character removed.

Another cheap Maxi in need of some lovin'.

The seller of this old "Passta"[?] bought some wheels off me the other week and turned up in this. It is epically shite with blebs and gaffa-tape repairs all over the shop.

Sadly I suspect that death by cheap coilovers and roofrack of shit is inevitable. :(

Also, why have we not discussed this impossibly chic Volvo wagon?

Fricking hell! Black, with red interior? GET IN!.

Tell you what if this had come with a 7-seat option I would be cruising about in it by now. EPIC.

OMG! Wonderful. I've always fancied a mk1 Passat, I especially like the seatbelt clasps on these - I think some Saabs had them too. You just pull the belt across and then into the clasp - there's no buckle on the belt whatsoever, you can just make it out in this photo:

My Jetta had those, as did the '76 Golf. And two of the Saab 99s.

I'm sure my Alfasud had them as well.

I like the heater controls on that era of Citroen/Peugeot. Not just a symbol for up or down, they have more along the style of: "Would you like your face and trilby blowing, or your brogues.." Odd there is no 'middle' position...

I remember these being a bit limp-wristed when they were new, but I don't remember them going wrong a lot - saloon or coupe.

The poor chap's only got a fixed focus camera :(

Had them in a Mk1 Polo GLS, they were called "Toric" belts -great idea! No more scratched sills by shutting the buckle in the door..
