^^^ I can't see anything wrong with that apart from the broken bumper, trouble is Maestro's have such low values and there are so few enthusiasts of them that even if that had been a Cat C it would have probably been broken up.

Love the old style STD codes on the Skoda.

That 240 GLT looks fine, in fact it looks better and is lower mileage than the 240GLT I owned about five years ago. Remind me someone, what does Cat C mean, is it just a vehicle check and MOT to go back on the road?

Yeah, book it in for a VOSA check to make sure you're not a criminal mastermind making millions off ringing old Volvos, then MoT it and it's free to go.

Hello? Is that Weddings From Hell magazine? I've got a feature for you....

Engine fire - looks minimal, but I'm sure BOL will be along in a moment suggesting a VM Diesel transplant.

Posted Image

I SPY an engine donor..... although only a Cat C, even with those dodgy shutlines around the rear door. Compare and contrast to the Cat B cracked-bumper Maestro

 STARTING BID: $4700

Is he on CRACK?

You should visit an American "Antique" shop sometime for comedy value.

You'll see loads of crap that you couldn't give away with price tags that would make you laugh even if it was brand new!

Yank pricing has gone mad in recent years - used to be you went over there and got a bargain...not any more.

I spend quite a bit of time in the USA and I've noticed very often you can actually buy a brand new car cheaper than a 1 or 2 year old example of the same model used...

This is not another cheesy cheap rat look car

I think you'll find it is, actually

I'd like to go round and have a look at that Passat.

And spend several hours beating the owner to death with the contents of the roofrack.

Twat.

I fail to see the point of the pineapple *shrugs*

I mean what sort of person wakes up and thinks.... "Right time to fit that pineapple" :?

That 90Q finished at £255.... NNNGGGG!

I'd love another. Mine was the spit of that, except both front wings were the same colour. £300 would have seen that looking the part.

And then another £300 would have got me to the end of the road in petrol. Oh yeah, there was a reason I sold mine ;)

Looks a cracker!!!!!! I bet its proper nice to travel in, I always remember finding the driving position of my mate's Cavallier SRi a bit awkward though.

Aye, that's nice. A friend had a V6 Cav saloon. T'was great - though Vauxhall seats are shite. Anyone want my CX?!

This is the earliest E23 I've seen for a while. Looks like it could make a nice car if the price was right.

Some issues to sort, but at 350 BIN you cant go too far wrong with this avenger. If you're having trouble justifying it to yourself, simply view it as a Mk1/2 escort but more interesting, suddenly it will seem like the worlds biggest BARG!

We were discussing these at the RR meet on Wednesday (Bodieanddoyle has recently bought one). I reckon they drive and handle better than an Escort, although I don't think the steering is as precise. I wonder if that one has the same engine as my 1.6 GLS estate - that went like a bat out of hell.

1984 Vauxhall Astra 1.3S L

The owner keeps calling this a JPS special edition but surely it should be a BJ special?

Look llike strictly speaking it should be, but who's gonna call their car a BJ Special?

That is well buff, as they say.

I've travelled about 2000 miles in my Cavalier in the last few weeks and I'm not complaining. I think the seats are initially uncomfortable but built for comfort over long distances.
