  1. The owner (chap at the garage ) said he painted it that colour for the customer as it was originally bright yellow, some google searches indicates that the first production car sold was Yellow and delivered to the the new owner in Acton Scott (a village a few miles from this location). http://www.stevensvehicles.co.uk/news.html
  2. The owners first words were "do you want to buy it" alas not for me, too many other bits of shite all jammed up, but enough of my constipation.... details unknown as to price etc, but feel free to pop by said garage.... Marshbrook Shropshire
  3. Had to stop and gasp at this today.... Now I own a cube this my pedigree chums is sex on wheels, even in the right colour... Told its deadly above 30mph... Elon aint got nuffin to worry about
  4. Passat B5 1.9 TDI always in the 50's driven gently 60mpg easy
  5. OHHHHHH just the ticket for me then http://www.thek6project.co.uk
  6. Nice to see a fellow cubist on here, I took the decision form day one to avoid the CVT boxes ones and went for a fully auto 4 speed. As luck would have it came in Autoshite brown. I had heard all sorts of horror stories about the cost of gearboxes (£5k plus new) and or the cost of the super special oil it has to use at about £400 a refill and thought better of it.
  7. HA I found this 12 years ago in a lock up Burton on Trent way, sold it to a lad who sld it on again to a chap in Northern Ireland who "did the conversion" https://www.annteak.com/garages-galore/
  8. Where are you located fella... I like the look of this shite wagon, ideal to move me mopeds... Is it keep fit windows ? what is the interior like as that's where as a owner I would be most of the time (one hopes) and not looking at the geezer touch ups.
  9. why not go practical and funkey, forget euro box and go japanesse box!
  10. Yea noted and saved information last week to one of the sites i manage Mate of Barry, by any chance? https://www.bsaariel3.co.uk/grd-907-n/
  11. I see one everyday>>> and about 3 or 4 others in the shed WP_20180929_13_08_35_Pro by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  12. Twas eye, had a hand painted automatic I did LEJOG in (5 days of hell!) and a minter I sold that sadly got trashed by having its coils cut within a second of ownership...
  13. All this talk of V8's reminds me of a load of paperwork I found and wrote up to my site, which the man at Vauxpedia screen grabbed and pasted up to his site... Not so much of a "well researched site" as a "cut a paste other peoples work", but as a single point of reference its okay... errors a plenty but then life is borring is we all agreed.
  14. Words are just too much detail https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSA-500-GOLD-STAR-TONY-HAGON-TWINSHOCK-CCM-CHENEY-BSA-HAGON-YAMAHA/123403259959?hash=item1cbb685037:g:cUkAAOSwLvxbtOnq
  15. Found some-productive time today between breakfast and afternoon kip (I love Saturdays when there is zippo to do) anyway, I had needed to have a look at the trike and fit the new screen. It maybe a bit much Orange I cannot decide? WP_20180929_13_08_35_Pro by paul.bottomley, on Flickr WP_20180929_13_46_28_Pro by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  16. Ahh Harrogate, I lived there for a while, full of people with a Yorkshire attitude which is ironic and most folks in Harrogate are not from Yorkshire. Full of bloody foreigners from far off places like the Midlands or The Dark place (Lancashire) and in my case Essex! All said and done mind loads of eating holes so if you get bad service move on somewhere else...
  17. As it isn't a vauxhall I doubt they can help? But deffo worth a try to get a number in Italy to ask for its build details. https://www.britishmotormuseums.com/museum.php?mus_id=8
  18. 4607 miles is the final number!!!!one has made the entire journey in a modern shite and as expected by others (not me) everything went as with no dramas other than of my own making. 20 days non stop in a Cube, might needs some time apart now!!! P1000369 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  19. Its the last night of the trip I am in St Clears Camarthernshireville and tomorrow its just the Gower and Barry Island, the rest I am sure will be nightmares as its Cardiff and Swansea... I should be back at the start I think for late Afternoon, where I shall celebrate by getting the fuck out of those services ASAP and going somewhere nice. Not sure where yet. Tractor shite for today included this nice beastie P1000378 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  20. Today is Wednesday, and its day 18, I have polished off England and Scotland and the land of Wales is now last on the list of places to skirt! I am now in Llandudno and the sun is out, its a very pleasant afternoon. I hope this keeps up as tomorrow is a long one, 270 miles, I think this will be a hard one... But once in Fishguard I know its two more days and it is over. That's doesn't include Anglesey (I am missing this bit because well.... I can) Ive hit 4000 miles today, so with the 270 tomorrow, the 250 or so miles after that back to the start point, I will be around the 4600 miles, which is stupid for a holiday LOL. Great Orm carpark at the summit this afternoon 20180620_145617 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  21. Horrid day, endlessly circling Morecombe bay, never again... Anyways can you guess where I am? P1000361 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr Another poxie day tomorrow of following the coast but blocked form it, this time endless Golf Clubs and Scousser Land, worse still Wirral!!!! Soon to me in lovely Wales.. Today Is Tuesday, I think I will be passing the INVACAR some time Thursday, time wise NO FIGGIN idea LOL
  22. And Scotland is no more!!! Left the country around 2:30pm after skirting the Galloway coast all morning (its a long way) I am now NOT IN maryport as the B&B looked shit, so I am in the Travelodge in Cockermouth (jokes welcome). Here I am this morning at the Mull of Galloway (no Gerorge to be found) 20180618_083641 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
  23. Tonight is my last night in Scotland, I am in Stranraer now, so its the coast road East tomorrow AM , and Scarryport tomorrow night, 3450 miles so far... whoever said six days and a sleeping bag has no idea just how far this is!!! i still have all of wales , the lakes, Liverpool and the Blackpool areas to go, 8 more days i think....and this is day 14 for me so far .. The car has become predictably reliable, unlike the German Camper van Drivers who indicate after they turn then look like thunder when you complain about it... Its like a beech resort in carparks except towels are camper vans... All German and driven at 18mph in 30mph zones and 21mph on all other roads, and to stop you overtaking driven with the white line in the middle of the camper (rant over). 20180613_143646 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr 20180615_111720 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr 20180617_165709 by paul.bottomley, on Flickr

  25. if you are going to use a ferry one might as well use the shittiest one in the UK, The Cromarty ferry maxs out at two cars, and you have to reverse off up a wet jetty, after grounding the front bumper on the ship ramp cause its steep, whilst its bobbing about in the water.... 35148729_10215270402166267_6236378073835503616_n by paul.bottomley, on Flickr
