was going to be 'Rallied' in a RWD sideways kind of way! work was due to commence on him this month

Lucky escape eh! I see someone has fitted a 'rally' back box already. Look at those rear lower corners too...... i bet theres about 20mm of wob in each side.

Yeah, I decided to have a go at selling this, as I'm using it too much - 50mpg, dead reliable, park anywhere and a good laff to drive so it had sort of become my default daily - and the miles were starting to rack up, which was a shame. Plus if I get a stone hit the windscreen (not an uncommon occurrence around these parts) I'm going to have a hell of a job getting another screen for it. I'm not hugely bothered if it doesn't sell though - and it certainly won't be leaving Wuv Towers for £200...

^ I'd never noticed that Passats back then were 'booted' rather than 'hatched'. 35 years on and I'm only just beginning to grasp the enormity of the fake hatch tomfoolery that went on back then.

I always look for that legendary tapedeck and have never seen one, I reckon it must not have made it as far as europe sadly.

The Fiat's one of those obvious 'scrapyard performance' jobs I'd love to do. Probly brutal power delivery tho', and...erm...anyone for torque steer? The nearest hedge'll claim it before it breaks. Maybe.
