Flat face 9000!!!

If you're after a 'flat face', this one just rolled up at my mate's local scrapyard.

The keys were still in the ignition, he started it and it sounds sweet. Only 89k on the clock and still taxed! :(

I'd buy that for the sole purpose of telling 20 year old 'scenesters' who want to buy it to Retro-ize it up, to 'do one' sharpish.

"Awite m8. Ow much do you want for this lavely motor"

"FUCK OFF"

Saab's coming up as not found on the doovla computer so looks like its fate is sealed. Theres a nice '98 9000 aero with lpg on ebay just now which I like the look of.. shame ive no readies!

Just cos it's been 'scrapped' doesn't mean it can't go back on the road (as long as it's not an insurance write off, even then it's not impossible). If it's bee classed as scrapped, you can still apply for the V5. Our Mk1 SWB was classed as scrapped. Still got the log book. Eventually......

I bet the number was transferred before it was scrapped so that would account for why it isn't showing up on the DVLA computer.

I had the underside shot blasted only to reveal lots of holes in the floorpan, it needs alot of welding.

it has no engine at presant but the loom has been adapted for a 1.6 16v

it now has mk2 front wings, lights, and grill all of which are not the same colour

Dear sir,

I regret to inform you, that this vehicle will never see the road again.

Yours sincerely,

R BOLLOCKS

It's crocks of shit like this that make me regret the fact I didn't advertise my old BX on eBay. It may have had a borked HG and a crusty bit of floor near the fuel tank, and may have been garaged for nigh on 2 years, no MOT or tax but bodily it was very good and might have been worth a little bit of coin. Far more worthy than ^^ that! In the end it donated doors, bumpers and interior to my present one, so shouldn't complain I suppose - but the rest was cut up and fed to the fragger.

Mark.

has got the engine out of a rover 620ti

conversion in it which isn't recorded on log book so is still registered as a 2 litre

It still is a 2 litre you bell end.

lexus rear lights 1 has a little hole which is patched and passes every mot

Sounds class that.

Verdict: MORON

1983 Rover 2300S SD1

According to the write up this was at Cholmondeley Castle the other week, Seems like fair value at £650 BIN considering it needs a small about of TLC.

Posted

I'd like that, but am too tight to pay 650. This is its second time round, no-one bid at 500 last time, a couple of days ago. It lokos decent like.

That's quite an impressive story!, Old bike in that shed as well, Nice to see it hasn't been painted yellow yet niether!

Fantastic story! Hope it was a sheep though... bit worried as to why you'd hide a car that had hit something!

You're absolutely right, it was mine. It is a hunny, too. Looks like the chap I sold it to has looked after it well - crucially, if it's been sorned since November it won't have been used through the 'orrible winter we just had. I'm seriously tempted to put in a bid, in fact. Yes it's half as much again as what I originally paid for it with nearly a year's test, but I reckon it's still worth it.

I'd lob a bid on it if it was a range change manual, just so I can feel like I'm at work all the time. :D

Was white rare? There's two round 1600E's locally, both white. One is a little tatty, one gets polished every Sunday and is probably cleaner than it came from the dealer. Original stickers and plates too.I remember a "car show" in town when I was a nipper (in reality, all the local dealers bringing stuff down to demo rather than a car show as we know them), Evans Halshaw brought a 1600E (white again) and a blue 2000E which I got to sit in. Smelt lovely but apparently me, aged 11, saying our next car had to have leather seats for the smell fell on deaf ears.
