I owned one of those Samba Styles. Brilliant on juice, and bloody nippy for a 954cc. Sold it for a profit too..If I had Ã‚Â£900, it would be mine.

My first one started life as a 954cc LE, yep, they go pretty well. Lovely soft seats, squishy steering wheel and rowing-boat gearchange. Sounds awful, but isn't somehow.

I should think any small Mustang engine should go in fairly easily. Makes you wonder how it has been treated if it borked its head gasket. Lots of little shopping trips perhaps? Or run dry?

It's the 4.6 from the mustang. I think it's a pretty straight forward engine and bits aren't that expensive from the US. It all depends how buggered it is I guess.
