There’s a chancer on our local Freecycle asking if we’ve any unwanted pocket watches or old games consoles like Commodores he can have.

I’d have just replied I’ve got 5 boxed Spectrums, meet me at Trowel Services at 10pm tonight.

Another one I've dealt with recently is when advertising something be it anything from lawnmowers, rotivators,cb radio etc I get a message saying

" is it like this if so I'll buy"

Followed by a link to some site I'd assume is dodgy. Blocked and deleted straight away.

FB is flooded with this crap nationally, the link in question is an IP grabber I believe, for spam purposes, definitely wouldn't want to click it 👍

If you click it Facebook doesn't load it, they block the redirect. At least that's true for the ones I was sent when I was selling some bicycles.

Chances of him buying it soon? None whatsoever.

This ‘test run’ sounds worrying. I’ve got images in my head of him really putting it through it’s paces.

Hence DB's very sensible '£1800 deposit' requirement! 😁

Some people have too much time on their hands, sending stupid voice messages to people on Facebook marketplace seems to be a popular "trend" at the moment 🤔

I said that to my son when bunny hopping off an 8ft ramp at the skatepark with predictable results.....

A few years ago in Leicester, a fellow advertised his off road bike for sale. The big council estate he lived on is built around a large open space. Potential buyer takes it for a test ride at speed across said open space. Running across open space is a concrete drainage channel not easily seen until you're almost on top off it. Result, dead test rider and bike a good bit shorter for putting back in shed.

Indeed, but how many would be firm on that if needing, or wanting, a sale?

Yup, 2 parents + 1 baby = 3 seats to me.

How much you asking?
