I find making increasingly shit offers usually forces their hand.

trains

I totally agree. I don't like modern trains. The non opening windows mean they're horribly stuffy all the time, and the high backed airline style seating is claustrophobic. I know I've spewed hatred on this subject before so I'll stop there.

I won a mint leather interior for my Xantia on the bay for a insultingly low price. I was the only bidder. As of yet no word from the seller. I suspect I won't hear from them as they won't want to sell it to me.. I'll give it a few days and see what happens...

Report the buggers to ebay if they don't.

My grump is that I've had to work until 3.45 am this morning catching up on the work I was supposed to be doing over the weekend and couldn't because of the mouth-breathing scum that broke into my garage.

Grr. I'm too tired to even be pissed off properly.

Don't worry, it got mildly patronised by Chris Evan and Alex 'listen to me, I'm even Welsher today' Jones on R2 this morning.

Incidentally Amazon do seem to be incredibly toss these days. My lad ordered something so long ago (he thinks nearly four months) he forgot about it. It arrived yesterday, along with something my daughter ordered (separately and from a different seller) that was packed by a limbless peasant using a damp 10p mix paper bag.

I have Amazon Prime, which means I get 'next day delivery'. Which means I get it delivered four days after ordering it.

Also agree on the 'guys' thing - my dad or mum has never called me and my brothers 'guys' thank God, but I've heard it used loads by 'modern parents'. Horrible.

Hermes or Parcelnet

I did some cover work for them and hated it.

Had an IPhone delivered by Yodel - they couldn't be bothered to deliver the first time (left a card even though I was in, they didn't even knock), so I arrange to collect at depot. Arrived at depot (40 miles away). The driver had already taken it out again. This time they didn't even leave a card (they didn't deliver). Third time I waited til 5 o'clock, at which point I phoned the depot and fired a few words at one of their people, even though he was saying it was out for delivery. They knocked on the door when I was on the phone!

Our "newest" vans on the fleet are restricted to 70mph ( to save the whale or something) which is all fair and dandy. Ive just pulled into an Exchange to see two new Transits belonging to a business thats part of BT and on the back they have little green lables stating that they are restricted to 60mph.

How low can you go? Why not sack all of that shit and just employ Lithuanians on £2 per hour to walk infront of the vans carrying a red fucking flag.

In saying all of that, we now have a scenario where our vans are no longer taken out of service every five years like it used to be, its looking more like ten years. Half of them are so utterly ragged now they couldnt hit 60mph unless they were shoved off of a cliff.

Moral? Ex BT fleet vehicles are no longer a sound choice when you are looking to buy one, they are serviced on the cheap and most will be massively fucked by the time they become available to Joe Public.

I won some 240z wheels the other week for a whole £40.

Obviously,I got them way cheaper than Mr Seller wanted to sell them for so, naturally, he has decided not to give me any feedback, let alone positive, because he is a stroppy fucking tart.

The c**t.

What you talking about FFS. You are kicking off and calling him a c**t because he hasn’t left you any feedback. BIG F**KING WOW. Have you actually done a deal and got the wheels? I presume so, otherwise you’d be calling him a c**t for that instead. So he has stuck to the deal and gone through with it.

The fact that he hasn’t left you any feedback makes absolutely no difference to anything, feedback is totally meaningless anyway now seeing as he could only leave you a positive. You have established a new ‘crappest whinge effort’ low point.

OMG I BOUGHT A PAIR OF SHOELACES FROM TIMPSONS THIS MORNING, I DID THEM UP GOOD AND TIGHT BUT THEY DIDN’T EVEN MAKE IT TO 4PM BEFORE COMING UNDONE, THE MUTHAF8CKING C##TING HAIRY B***ARD TW*TS FROM HELL, I AM GOING TO FIND OUT WHO MADE THEM AND BURN THEIR HOSE DOWN WHILE THEY ARE SLEEPING! F##KIN NAZI TW#TS etc etc.

Major LOL at Bol.

Talking of van mph restriction they did that where I used to work, everything was limited to 62mph to tey and make VOSA STFU. Technically speaking the only place we couldn't speed then was in motorways which we rarely used anyhow and if we had a busy day we'd just go over the speed limit everywhere else instead.

My Transit Connect just touches 90mph... no idea why the clock goes to 140mph like.

It doesn't half get ragged though - every day I'm in it. Poor van.

All Pizzas Great and Small had a fleet of pink Lada Rivas with massive telephones stuck to the roof. Now that would have been an awesome job flying about Bedale backroads in a Lada flat out.

There is absolutely no need for air con in a country like the UK.

My Volvo feels stuffy after driving the air conditioning equipped Czech VAG shit, and I live in the balmy* north of Scotland.

Perhaps if you wasnt so full of yourself and giving everybody a lol moment you would have figured out the whole fucking point has nothing to do with "good feeback" its to do with common courtesy. Yeah, its missing in society but a very basic acknowlegement that he wasnt dicked about by the usual e'bay muppet would have been nice, fuck me, what next, we dont use please and thank you when we go into a shop to buy something?

Its got fuck all to do with racking up points, amazingly, considering im as thick as shit, i actually get that but thanks for trying to ram the point home.

Now go and find somebody else to try and rip the piss out of, your audience awaits.

The guy has just messaged me regarding the interior and is honoring the auction. So this spat is invalid. Soz!

That's the way I understood Freebird's original posting.

So I was surprised that bollox leapt down his throat, I mean it's not like he's personally involved or anything... is it?..... hmmmm..... FFS man bollox, it's an internet auction site. The market decided how much your wheels were worth. Leave the man some feedback.

Ace - there are still a few good ebayers then.

Electric cars....

On a recent visit to Stockton college I was walking across the visitors car park with my dog (not that the dog is in any way relevant) and turned round to find one of Tyneside Councils finest electric cars two inches away from my arse! WTF? It wasn't there a second ago! These things make no sound whatsoever. Gr9 for road safety! At least the old electric milk floats had a definite sound all of their own... Progress eh?

Maybe all electric cars should be made to carry a crate or two of empties in the back to warn other road users and pedestrians of their presence.

There's been talk about equipping electric vehicles with noisemakers to warn pedestrians, but since we all manage to avoid being killed by silent cyclists doing 25mph maybe we should all just be more careful instead of creating a new source of urban noise pollution.

Fair point, cyclists however are less of an impact threat than a silent killer hatchback. Imagine how vigilant we all will have to be in 2023 when all cars/cycles/motorbikes etc make no noise at all! Urban noise will then be limited to the sound of pedestrians being startled silly!

Maybe evolution will take over and we will all develop electromagnetic detecting ears or something to compensate? Of course all on here will be still driving proper cars, so will be unaffected until we break down and need to walk. Lol

How about just not walking on the road/driving on the pavements, or is that too simple? :-?

Not driving on the pavements is easy, walking across the road less so.....
