Wat.

I meant the stare out when you were in the Citroen...Sadly too many coppers these days are full of attitude and start from the premise that everyone's up to no good.

It's all going to end in (my) tears but I'm pissed off with new/crap feedback score eBay bidders not replying to my mail asking for contact information as stated on my listing. I'm removing bids (and blocking people) but you just know it'll go tits up when people bid last minute.

Still, I have a reasonable masterplan for them should it happen.

As we're back on the subject of ebay, does anything happen when you report a non paying buyer? I am guessing they might get suspended for a bit if they have x amount of non paying reports about them, but it seems they just get away with it.

Also, I am in Czech for a couple of job interviews. English teaching. First one is tomorrow and I am quite badly prepared. I still have time to get a demo lesson together but I know I will just cobble it together at the last minute. I am my own worst enemy!

as far as i can glean, 3 strikes and suspension, but i dont know over what period of time.

todays ebay moan: withdrawl of bids - i had an auction running, some numpty puts a huge bid on, (six bids actually) discouraging other bidders, then before the end withdraws it, item sells for peanuts. i look at the bidders details; 17 withdrawn bids in the last 6 months

Good man, can you let me know what it involves? I'm tempted to do the same thing.

Well I did the TESOL course a couple of years ago. Took about 7 months. Most EU countires want you to have a degree in English too but in Czech and Slovakia they don't mind if you don't. I am amazed, seems to be a lot of potential work here for an English person. There are teachers here but most seem to be Americans or Australians. The Czech would much rather have an English English teacher. In fact I already have a couple of potential students lined up if I move over here. I would probably do a few sessions a week for one of the companies I have applied for and then do the rest in private lessons.

You can earn more in Prague but it costs a fortune to live there these days. I am flitting between to towns, Usti and Teplice, in the north.

Hope that helps!

Yeah! The interview/demo thing I have tomorrow morning is for a company called Skrivanek in Usti n.l.

Do you spend a lot of time in CZ then?

1: I hit a pot hole in my Audi and ended up with a hole in the sidewall of the tyre. Fear not as I took out the all inclusive deal on my lease so I'm covered for tyres and servicing.

I took it in to the tyre place all confident like and in big letter on T&C's on the tyre place's computer it says "covered for punctures BUT NOT DAMAGE".

255 35 R19 ZR Continental Sport 3's cost...£275.. each, which is why took the flippin cover out in the first place. I'm going to try to find a part worn of the exact spec stick on the spare as the car goes back in 3 months.

2: Ebay mongs are now contacting me about my Alfa. "I''ll give you £200 mate it's just scrap" etc. I could take the tax off, weigh it in and get £320 so why am I going to sell it to you for £200!!

got a speeding fine (plead guilty by post), today i get the letter and find im being charged 15 quid 'victim surcharge' - the only victim here is me

My impression is that most people in rural CZ and pretty much all over SK are rather skint... What's the going rate for this kind of thing? Can you make a living from it without having to eat discarded shoes?

Well yeah you aren't going to get rich and bring a load of cash back to the UK. But is you live here you can earn equivalent of about £300 a week which means you can live pretty comfortably indeed. They all want to learn English at the moment, it's a good time. Plus I have some TOP SEKRIT ALAN SUGAR STYLE BUSINESS IDEAS.

As you said, £300 a week is quite a decent income down there.

Let us know how you get on!

They offered me a job! Starting in Feb. Should really be in the happy thread but meh.

I thought I was fucked when they made me do an English grammar test that apparently takes their students 5 minutes. I didn't have a clue about most of it. But they were happy with the demo lesson I did and offered me a contract!

Pleased for you, well done! Now good luck for the actual work.

Marvellous! We await PITCHERZ of local shite (and possibly local talent, too  ). Are you planning to buy yourself a nice little Estelle? 8)

If all goes well I would quite like a Rapide...

And yes. It makes you realise how hideous the young ladies who believe themselves to be attractive in the UK actually are.

I've got a few old radiators outside the house I want rid of. Can't be arsed taking the to scrap myself, and every day a bloke in a transit tipper (who is not a bad bloke) drives down the road shouting "any old iron"

He does this at about 30mph, so even if I'm waiting next to the bloody door, by the time I've got outside to shout him back, he's halfway down the street and out of earshot. This has happened 4 days in a row now.

leave them at the front gate - they will disappear ... although my scrap men ask to take stuff like that!

Off work with a bad back - how does the shit on daytime telly pass as entertainment?

It's actually better than it used to be-assuming you like antiques that is.

Talking of antiques if you want to get REALLY pissed off with daytime telly try tuning into 'Loose Women'. If you haven't felt like lobbing a brick through the screen with five minutes then you need to see a shrink.

Ditto Alan 'Smug Bastard' Titmarsh.

The worst thing are the endless PPI/personal injury parasites. The Injurylawyers4u ad, which makes me want to throttle kittens.

On a tv note, the BBC have also cancelled Mongrels. Tossers.

Arse biscuits! :evil::evil::evil:

That was one of the best shows on the box, seems they've canned it for poor viewing figures. Maybe if they hadn't stuck it on BBC3 at OMG o'clock more people might have spotted it...
