Reading my letter properly the points and fine bit is now £100 fine, not £60 as it was in 2010. I'll tick the speed awareness course box and hope then!

Unless the fine varies force to force? My first was Northampton, this is Thames Valley

In other news, I have had a clumsy day; one pot of coffee spilled all over the floor, then later broke a small cafetiere and just walked into the sticky out bit of the suffolk latch on the back door, it was hurting but I have now realised it has drawn blood which has nicely soaked into my shirt. I'm off to open a bottle of wine which should make me feel better, as long as I don't drop/spill/break that.

Wouldn't have been quite so anonymous if you had run the cunt over.

0.5/10 Must try harder

The pen is mightier than the Transit.

Just been to Newcastle and back over the past couple of days. Had a job interview yesterday (and it's looking promising!).

But... fucking hell, the A68.

I decided to take it both ways because it was more interesting. However, there are so many complete fannies who dawdle along at 45 completely oblivious to me and the 10 other cars stuck behind them, then they leave it in fucking 5th gear and slow to a crawl and almost stall when they hit a hill. Also, the coaches full of tourists driven by self-important cunts. A scaffolding truck pulled over at one point to let faster traffic past, but the coach behind him didn't. Said coach was doing almost 60mph on the straights, but crawling around corners at sub-20mph in some places. I was actively shouting at the driver from inside my car at some points. Thankfully they pulled into a village a few miles down the road.

Then there was the most horrific roadworks in Ponteland on Wednesday. I was stationary for about 20 fucking minutes! On the way back today, also in Ponteland, some old biddy in a VW Fox had just pulled out in front of a Transit. Ambulance crews were in attendance waving traffic round the side.

Then there was the Edinburgh bypass at 3pm today. I didn't cross the Forth Road Bridge until almost 4:30. Barely got out of 1st gear for about 45 minutes.

Just... AAARGH!

In Thailand with work and the King has just passed away. He is a venerated father figure for Thais, there were grown men getting a bit teary at the office today.

Although I sympathise, my grump is that all that all the bars are shut and getting drunk would be very disrespectful.

When the kings father died in Cambodia (similar veneration) all the local bars had to shut for two weeks and tourist ones closed for two nights.

I think £100 has been the standard fine for a while.

That explains it then! I got my first ever points in 2010.

I have 28 days to respond apparently, and get paid on day 17, so I'll post it off then and put £100 aside!

Compared to the speeds I've gone down that road before, I'm not contesting this at all, I consider it a lucky escape tbh, and will in future piss everyone off by doing 28mph down it!

Someone Welsh. Chedwyn is a perfectly unremarkable name west of Offa's Dyke.

 is it a North Wales name? My Dad is from New tradegar so spent many many days in South Wales and have never come across a Chedwyn, still seems a cruel name in this day and age. But then I have Dilys and Enfys as sisters so guess I should just be glad I am not Ched.

Been on a round trip with our lass on the bus due to her feeling a bit nervous doing derby city centre bus route and all the pissheads thatit entails. Some pissed up chav just got on bus and sat down without paying. Our lass asked her to get off as all her mates pissed as well started cheering. Little bitch then decided to assault my mrs. Took a couple of folk to hold me going to bang the lad that was with her out

Whereabouts? Most of my relatives are now in Philipstown and Tirphil but there are a few still in New Tradegar and some down the Valley in Bargoed, mostly Evans (no surprise) Edmunds and Baulsch. My Dad died nearly twenty years ago and I haven't back much since but planning another trip soon.

An hour ago I was told that a ladyfriend who was a sort of kindred spirit to me died a couple of weeks ago. I'd be doing her injustice to describe her as my honorary sister. She was the sort of lady that made it a treat to sit with enjoying a few bottles together enjoying putting the world to rights with while swapping relationship war stories. RIP Melanie, we never did get to schedule that shag together did we?

Oh fuck, another speeding fine... 35mph the day after near home.

Ffs, I need to sell some shit and quickly! Do I just get double bummed or does the punishment change for two offences? Luckily (probably) I had no points before, possibly 6 now.

I'm gonna run the sat nav for a few days and check the speedo isn't under reading...

My nans neighbours about her ropey fiesta:

"It's made in 1992 so it'll be 25 years old next year meaning it's a classic car. You should hang onto it until 2017 because classic cars are worth thousands of pounds"

Two separate offences. You should be able to do a course for one and finefor the other.

Fair enough. Still going to be £200ish! The points don't worry me too much (obv no e not to have but our insurance still take my 2010 points into consideration because something about 3 years more) but I need to find money!

Of course Amy's been very sympathetic to me...

Remember you have 28 days to get back to them, so milk that for both. Then you get 28 days to book the course, so time it right and you can save up in that time.

I blame either Quentin Wilson, or Donald Trump..........probably both.

Buggar, Amys just opened a NIP for me for 35 in a 30. I remember seeing the camera too and slowing a bit, obviously not enough!

Have you seen the pictures? Is it definitely definitely your vehicle with you driving? It would be the first time a mistake has been made.

Bloke I used to work with had that - caught speeding in London and he lives near Durham and hasn't been to London.

Checked the photo and the registration was one character out but a similar looking character on the rather blurry photo.

As if the shops doing it weren't bad enough, my cat has decided to enter prematurely into the festive spirit by bringing me an early Christmas present of a dead robin.  At least she's left it intact - she catches quite a few birds but normally she noms them, and the only evidence I find is a few feathers and the occasional foot or two.  Either she actually intended this one to be a present or she just doesn't like the taste of robin...

I haven't, both letters have the time, I might double check when the times are, but their both roads that I went down on those days
