Not all the guides, just the back ones on one bank.

I really am utterly pissed off about it. Dream car. How do you get the tax back now?

XUD conversion? Damn shame though, at least you can park it up and admire it for a bit. Could you take up cigar smoking and just use it as a free smoking shelter?

Or find a crashed one and do an engine swap

Carrot and coriander soup.

It looked nice in the picture on the tin

The Bentley is no more.

Valve guides have dropped, they don't know why, don't want anymore to do with it so are refunding me.

Bollox!!!!!

Got to get a receipt for the paintwork and they'll reimburse for that as well. Could be fun, it was a 'cash' job....

I am gutted to be honest. I loved that car, had it three weeks and did 100 miles in it. Oh, and even if I get back all the money, it's still cost me tax and insurance so I'm a loser.

Now, do I look again or give it up as a bad job?

Go for another... It obviously suits you... plus we all so want a bentley Roffle. Perhaps they can donate the broken car for Roffle...

I think the car was sold due to it's issues.

The problem is finding one that won't leave you bankrupt.

If it were me, I'd take this as a warning.

But having said that, I have had four SD1's so what do I know.....

I say lucky escape, get the money back and run...

Put the insurance on hold while you look for something else, but yeah you might lose a months tax.

That is sad news regarding the Bentley

What is the world coming to. I hadn't heard the news of that poor officer who lost his life until reading this thread so Googled it, so sad that someone thinks they can play god robbing someone who protected the public on a daily basis of their life in such a horrible way.

To be fair, losing "only" a few hundred pounds is an excellent result by old Bentley standards...

I recall you had done a fair bit of homework on those cars and spent quite a bit of time tracking down a decent example... The fact that it turned out to be a bit of a lemon shows that they're pretty high-risk purchases.

I'd personally steer well clear of them. Wouldn't an X300 offer similar levels of luxury and comfort, with better reliability and lower running costs (at the expense of appearing like a pub landlord circa 2010) ?

An elderly family member died last year, he had a garaged low mileage Smart Roadster, still taxed, insured and MOT'd

I have been offered it gratis, problem is I have no where to keep it so I have had to decline it  :-(

Posted

Get it and I'll give you a couple of hundred quid for it.

Ha! Well that's the problem, I would feel like an arse accepting it then telling them I've punted it on.

For now its staying in the garage and its mine if I want it, but I seriously cant see me having it  :-(

You could tell 'em that you have, errrrrrr, lent it to someone.

If you want to mate there is some space in the barn for summat small.

Do a charity loan scheme like the HFH MGF? Then it can do the rounds, raising cash for charity with every punting on, until you have space for it.

After finding out the Punto MOT had expired now I've finally decided to sell it, I thought I might as well get rid of the Berlingo too, as it's not being used. Can I find the V5? Can I bollocks as like,

£320 + packet of wagon wheels + 1 fray bentos pie + half a penguin and pack of scampi fries.

It's the romance novels Billy, see if he can write crime instead. Dave Lee Conan Doyle or summat.

mine went through a phase of going off by itself. New batteries in the fob plus re-soldering the fob connections sorted it mostly out.

if it's blowing a gale out there, the motion sensors will still trigger the alarm. Unlocking it on the pipper, then manually locking the door worked for me. This (apparently) sets the immobiliser but not the alarm.

If ypou do rip it out, let me know what you did and how you did it? Just in case mine has a sense of humour failure as well.

Grumps. This is England 90. Utter crap, and a real let down. I was looking forward to this, the other offerings have all been exceptional but this one could have been a 20 minute special if Shane meadows cut out all the slo-mo-to-mood-music shit he decided to screen. Or maybe the idea has run it's course.

Also, England rugby fans. Suck it up ladies, Wales aren't through to the quarters because you lost to Australia. Wales are through because played 3, won 3. That's how sport works

Word.

ive been in ireland for 3 days

as a nation you can imagine how much laughter was had

I was in contact with my friend today. Sadly his wife died towards the end of September. She was 41 and they have two lovely kids aged 5 and 7. Fuck.
