Today can FUCK RIGHT OFF.

 

Obligatory cold plus front tyre exploding on the C4 FOR NO FUCKING REASON. Yeah, cheers, I can really afford £80 on a tyre at the moment. I can't even take it to the local place to get the knocking (suspected dead gearbox or CV joint) checked out, which was where I was going.

 

Oh yeah, and someone's scraped their bumper past it and left a massive scuff.

If the council come round and complain it's got a flat tyre I'll lay them out. I don't care.

 

The less said about yesterday the better. I could have done with not undertaking a pointless 4 hour trip north, but hey. None of the mobile tyre fitting places will come to me and there's no room on the street to put the spare on.

That means I'm now completely dependent on the MX-3. If that breaks there's always the train I suppose. Charade's clutch is fucked because a colleague killed it.

The nanocom is missing from my disco. Box under seat is there, and the cables, so I bet the fuckers fallen out in some random car park. So that's £300 lost.

Took months for them to bill me for the broadband when I joined. Had to ask repeatedly for that to be sorted as I knew I'd get hit with a huge bill one month and the website wouldn't let me change call packages or anything because it thought I wasn't a customer. Got hit with a huge bill when it finally got sorted.

 

Was a customer for nearly a year before they sent me the £100 Sainsburys voucher, and that was after applying for it about 15 times and complaining many times.

 

Took 4 days to get my broadband back on when my line died a week or so back, but 7 before they told me it was back on.

 

In that time, I apparantly made 12 phonecalls on my landline that was totally b0110xed, including ringing the speaking clock.

 

I get about 19 MB on Infinity on a good day, but the wireless is virtually unusable. It's fine for a while then throughput drops to dial up speed.

 

The YouView box suffers from amnesia and maybe records 10% of what I ask it to, on a good week. The internet/router drops out when you're watching on demand stuff and takes 2 or 3 minutes to sort itself back out.

 

I'd complain, but I've had to complain about everything just to get what I'm paying for so far. Counting down the days to leave them. Going to go with TalkTalk, I might as well not be paying through the nose to be treat like shite.

Dark morning, first snow of the new winter and descending a small hill. Applied the brakes gently to slow for the junction at the end and hit black ice. Car goes fucko down the hill into the bus I was trying to slow for in the first place, managing to tap it twice before coming to rest on a small grass verge. 
Cue furious bus driver who takes a moment to realise what has just happened but turned out to be a decent sort. As did the elderly couple in a nearby house who offered cups of tea whilst waiting for recovery by the insurance. Still drove fine the short distance it was moved but didn't fancy trying to get it home again.

Front is easily repairable, rear end less so, although you could just bash it out and stick a light in.

Thanks all. Aye, I'm alright but the likelihood of Volvo mending is very slim. The passenger cell is fine, but the D pillar has been pushed in quite far and the O/S/F wing inner and outer are touching the chassis leg. Fuck only knows where the screenwash bottle has gone as it appears to have vanished entirely. Heater still worked though, so that wasn't too bad but it's pretty bent.
It actually looks better in that picture than it was in real life as I think the front contacted one of the body pillars on the bus and took quite a skelp. Volvo made some bloody solid cars though and that's the second one that's saved me from serious harm.

It's kinda knocked the idea of buying an AX on the head though.

An AX is about 4 ft shorter than the Volvo though, so you would have missed the bus alltogether.

That's a good point Tim. It would also be GR12 on fuel. Did watch a diesel Clio van slide into the middle of the same road, thankfully it wasn't full of bus so all the driver got was a bit of a fright.

Replacement wheels in the form of the ex Swampy21 Carisma* are in for MOT tomorrow so I'm not 100% sure what's going to happen as yet. In the meantime, there's an Enterprise rent a wreck been offered so it may be a reunion with the Chevroletwoo Spark.

Glad you are not hurt chief, we live in a small cul de sac with a gentle slope down onto a main road, winter before last it froze like a bastard and the slope refused to thaw out for days, you simply had no choice but to edge onto the ice, gracefully slide down and hope to Christ nothing was flying towards you as you slid down, really not pleasant, easy for me to say but these things happen, thats why we have insurance and Volvos.
