Errrr.... Eh?

No idea what most of this means TBH, but hope it all works out ok!

:-)

"I have not owned any shite for 5 years.

Additionally, I received an insurance quote of £800 on a City Rover; furthermore, on gocompare.com, the most expensive quote was £4,000! What the fuck? The car in question is only worth £200!

I have had one motorbike accident in the last 18 years, which was not my fault - I have also had access to another bike and a car for 13 years, without having had any accidents.

Again, I must ask: what the fuck is the explanation for this?"

The only explanation I can think of is 'welcome to the world of insurance quotes'.

I was quoted £380 for my MGF, which magically reduced to £156 when I laughed in their face.

Our local independent garage is no more. It (Tills) was on my way to work and I've used it for many years, the pumps were red and black handled only and marked up as 4 star, they sold cherry too. Nice chaps in the shop (which was full on corner store and off licence to boot) had said the lack of fuel was down to a cock up on the ordering the last time I talked to them, I'd given it a swerve a few times since as the red tags were on all pumps and today saw the to let signs above the shop.

Absolutely gutted to be honest, I'll have to go to a shiny plastic garage now when I need pump fuel.

Latest insurance company wants a copy of my driving licence (both parts) within 7 days otherwise they are going to cancel it. With no scanner or photocopier it is going to be a painin the bum. Oh and I can't find the paper version either... isn't all electronic now?

I've left my fucked tyre too long without pumping it up and now it's sat in the office car park completely flat. So that means I need to come back after 6 tomorrow night and sit for 20 minutes whilst my little 12v pump does its thing, then go get some cash out thursday morning and get some new rubbers!

The joy!

Long story short, went to work last Wednesday night and had an accident while attempting to do the delivery. Got taken via ambulance to Kettering general hospital. Emergency MRI scan and had a discectomy Friday morning. Made a good recovery and I was discharged Sunday afternoon.
Since then I've managed to toddle up and down the stairs a few times to make a cuppa, but can't sit on the sofa downstairs as its just too painful and the sofa is too low. Can't sit upright for more than 1/2 hour anyway. Obviously I'm not allowed to drive for the foreseeable future nor can I lift anything over 2 kg for 3 months. So until the stitches come out i'm pretty much on bed rest. I never realised how boring doing nothing is. I think I've read the internet end to end and now working my way through the dvd collection. Never been so boredredface.gif

HYGWS!

I agree with the internet boredom thing, if I have a quiet day at work I'll have read pretty much every post on here, ph, detailing worls and vacuumland. I know I'm scraping the barrel when I'm looking at an OMGCHOPPEDSPRINGZ build thread on the blue forum!

You know what really winds me up? When you're turning into your driveway or a side road, and the person behind is so impatient they have to drive around you instead of braking for say, six seconds. I don't know why but it pisses me off big time.

Insurance quotes.

I was talking to an insurance broker friend recently and he reckoned the new 'openness' of the DVLA records SHOULD see premiums reduced as the insurers will no longer have to apply a premium for the risk that someone is being dishonest when giving their endorsements history.

More info and a much better explanation here: http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/cars/article-2536413/Car-insurance-costs-fall-DVLA-moves-driving-licence-records-online.html

I get this at my mums. Despite the fact that I indicate before, then chuck the hazards on then go into reverse people still dont stop and have to reverse back.

Sometimes they go to overtake me, so I swing out wide so their forced to stop and be on the wrong side of the road unable to do anything because they are impatient cunts. Surprisingly I always back in really slowly when that happens too!

Sent off application form for my welding course in December. Didnt hear anything, it starts next week so decided to phone the college. It is full but rather than telling me that they just didnt bother. Gr2.3 customer service.

Instead going to different college to do 6 weeks of brickwork. Not that it is going to help me buy my saab 96 and restore it!

comment on next door's planning application

Since the previous change from an old peoples home to private apartments has produced a parking problem where there in insufficient parking onsite for the existing tenants so they now use the road where there is also insufficient parking within the marked bays so park outside the bays which caused diabolical traffic jams during the morning "rush hour" as basically one side of the road is blocked by parked cars (and works vans) and opposite is the bus stop so the road becomes completely blocked if a bus stops and as the road is the access road to three schools this makes the traffic absolutely f*****g impossible so much so we often cannot get out of our driveway so I have had to change my work hours. Any more development on the site without sufficient parking for ALL their residents vehicles, both their private and work ones, is just going to make the situation worse.

"Cabinet Office minister Francis Maude said he expected the Government will have saved more than £1.2billion through IT efficiencies by the end of 2015."

Although implementation of said IT will doubtless have cost £1.2billion squared.
