If it's ffffffff.... cold, it ain't 16 degrees...  ;)

Everyone seems to be fucking me around lately, it's so frustrating.

Not only you is being fucked around. People nowadays seem to have even less dignity than those hideous newfangled shitpiles they drive.

I'm not sure whether it will be much longer that I can avoid one of them just being at the wrong time in the wrong place, getting the living daylights kicked out of him for all the fuckage around I have experienced hitherto.

So he wants the car for £60?

I'd ignore anyone that wanted it delivering. Or offering shit prices. Or from the South.

The highest offer is still from a banger racer contact.

Sweet Alison Fanelli, this is testing my patience.

Surely if anyone wanted it for wholesome good intentions it would have long been sold, just get rid,not as if its the only GS left.

Dugong ,regarding your GS,wasn't there an escapee from the French scrapage scheme on the ebay thread ?

One that can't be registered and has no docs.

Not that I'm suggesting anything dodgy or owt but.....

Couldn't hurt to let the seller know about yours.

Sorry to but in on this but there was a 2CV declared as scrap on ebay. It was used as an advert for a paint supplier. Am I correct in thinking that once a car is declared as scrap there's nothing you can do about it to get it re-registered for the road?

^You could always tap it with a terminally rotten one and see if it rings... ;)

Not sure if it still works, but you were able to export it to another EU country (provided you have friends there), then import it and register it.

Of course this is only done on paper, the car doesn't move an inch.

Has anyone see ebay's new payment and postage policy changes when you make a listing?

It's absolutely awful. I mean really, they couldn't make it worse if they tried. They've solved a small proplems 1% of users maybe had and cocked up the other 99% in the process.

Surely someone with deep pockets could usurp these half wits?

That'll be the "Policy" bobbins... I don't need a dam policy for posting, I want to put how much it will cost etc.

Ok if you have 40,000 of the same item otherwise it's a pain in the arse.

Payment policy, returns policy, get bent.

Reading a thread on a Saab forum where someone bought a car and the engine detonated three months later - the amount of dodgy 'legal' advice given out by users is staggering and would probably get you more into trouble that the garage. What is it with forum users and giving advice on subjects they know nothing about?

Soz it's two days late and it's about Steve Wright again:

Anyone who says the BBC is lefty and anyone who thinks Wright is a great DJ should have a listen to his and his Knobhead sidekick's 'interview' with David Cameron on Wednesdays show.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's still in hospital having his tongue surgically removed from.the PM's far arse.

Wright is second only to Vine in being a stupendous waste of oxygen. No-one else outside of Radio1 has the ablilty to make me swear at the radio so much.

Posted

I listen to him on a Friday afternoon on the way home before the much better Simon Mayo comes on. He used to be good in the 90's, but he just sucks up to every interviewee and comes across as a phony. Considering it's paid for by the tax payer.

BBC Radio gets worse the further up it goes, with the exception of Radio 4 which is either depressing world news or really awful radio 'comedy' (but otherwise bearable).

If anybody really does put "love the show" when they write in to Steve Wright, I will eat my hat.

It's been shit ever since he stopped "Ask Elvis".

That's the problem, without DAB in the car I'm stuck with either 4 (which is still preferable to Vine) or 2 - on balance, at least Wright occasionally stops talking long enough to play some music. If I'm bumbling about locally I can usually pick up some Irish stations which aren't bad.

Steve Wright is a first class cunt, and has been since he was on Radio 1 in the 80s. I can't stand the sound of his voice, the sight of his face or the thought of all the arse licking that goes on between his flunkies and him, and him and his "guests".

I really don't understand how anyone can listen to him.

He is a prick, smarmy twat who talks about himself all the time and sings over songs he's playing whilst thinking he's funny, I heard a few minutes of the Cameron interview and had to turn it off.

There was a photo of Wrighty with Cameron on the BBC2 Facebook page and Wrighty looks as if he's eaten half the labour party.

Have you ever seen a more hateful photo?.

It's not even all about the politics, he's an absolute and utter turd with his 'funny' remarks, pointless drivel and his talking over people.

Wow, he actually makes Jabba the Hut look slim.

 FTFY

I had no idea he was such a porker these days. Agree that Simon Mayo is pretty good.

Steve Wright fails to comprehend two things: that the 70s are OVER, and that anyone who hears him is seized with a barely controllable urge to SHOOT HIM IN THE FACE...

Aaaaaand breathe.

Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo, the savours of radio 2

Good as they are, they pale next to 'The Organist' on Thursday evenings.

Sorry if i sound like a ponce, but Howard Goodall on Classic FM knows his stuff and is easy to listen to. He plays movie themes on Saturday afternoons which I like, all the John Barry stuff etc. Hands up I'm a theme geek!

Wright, Moyles et al are just white noise fat fucks.

Who's the woman who used to do the midnight-3am stint on Radio 2? Jan someone? She was terrible at talking all over the song intros, ramping up the channel really badly as she spoke, so that the song or backing track went from normal volume to virtually mute really badly whilst she dribbled on. That bugged the hell out of me when I used to drive on night shifts, especially on a Friday night when all other stations played crappy dance music so there was really no other alternative.

Steve Wright was also extremely annoying, especially the shit jingles and fake rounds of applause as he and his fellow presenters fawned mercilessly over the most mediocre guests. This was my experience about 5 years ago but I assume little has changed. I refused to listen to Jeremy Vine as it always just pandered to lowest common denominator angry people 'phoning up to complain about the sensationalist Daily Mail report he'd chosen to dwell upon. Radio 4 was dry but at least it offered the opportunity to learn something (e.g. a 30 minute documentary about the history of the bottle cap or something). Gardener's Question Time was a bit too much, though and I couldn't stand The Archers or 95% of the comedies, especially the ones based on nothing more than a bad pun, like counter productive, a sideways, witty glance at life working in a Tiddlywinks factory. Actually, I just made that one up. Maybe I've found my calling in life?

Janice Long, I quite like her personally. Sexy voice.

I agree with comments above that Ken Bruce is amongst the good 'uns; in fact I think he's a truly great DJ
