Focus has decided it no longer wants to accept CDs, so I'm now driving around sans tunes.. I can't be fucked installing some aftermarket head unit, nor purchasing the removal keys to have a gander at why it's just spitting them straight out again. So it's now a case of listening to the rear brake that has started making that irritating noise for the umpteenth time... Or Heart FM, neither of which greatly appeal

And to top it off, it started running a bit lumpy sitting in traffic, so I'm obviously fully expecting the EML to illuminate in due course in order to subsequently relieve me of £50 for a coil pack.

#fun :(

I suppose so, but that would mean I have to purchase and download the albums to my phone.. being an obstinate git, I already own it on CD so don't want to pay twice, I can't be fucked navigating some dodgy website to download YouTube links that will invade my computer with aids or porn ... And it would mean prove that my CD collection is obsolete and a waste of space if I can't even play them in the car any more

Have I already said that I'm an obstinate git that doesn't do himself any good when it comes to solving problems? 😅

You can get a CD player that is a low power FM transmitter to allow you to tune your car radio to it.  I assume that's what @AnnoyingPentium had in mind.

If you get Audials MusicTube on your computer you can d/l tracks and albums from Youtube. If you already own the CDs, shouldn't be an issue.

People who give children surnames as first names.

"RILEY! JACKSON! BAILEY! DAWSON! GET BACK OVER HERE!!!!"

On the radio this morning I heard about someone mentioning they had a child called "Corbyn"

FFS.

I visited Kosovo a couple of years ago. Many men in their early 20's had been given the first name "Tonibler".

Yea, it's not really a  load of faff, which is why I haven't* got a USB playlist of all the tracks I've ever liked, enjoyed performing or meant something at some point in my life.

Rip it to a computer, then copy to usb. You may already have ripping software, or freely downloadable

You can't just copy it to the PC, you need to rip it. No idea why though.

A lad I used to work with once went out with a girl called Tyler Turner, I found this absolutely hilarious for some reason.

Then he said they split up because she cheated on him with a lad called Tyler Tailor.

Tyler Tailor's best mate was a lad called Tyler Turner.

even now, nearly ten years later it confuses me

A bit of a tinker, that one...

With ripping software. You might already have a program on your machine to do it, or can be freely downloaded.

That is what I have done with mine and the USB dongle plugs into the car stereo.

Amazing how many albums fit on a USB dongle.

I use K3B but Windows Media Player should do it.

Windows Media Player, or iTunes. I use the latter.

I think one of my old laptops still has MusicMatchJukebox on it, from the original 1990-something install.

Ooh, I thought it was one of the Bluetooth things where you send music from your phone and then tune the device to the radio of the car.

Didn't realize they do CD versions, anybody have a link? :)

quite handy to rip the cd s to mp3 files and put them on a SD card , then your cd's can be left safe at home away from damage , prying eyes and to make some space !!

Aaand the washing machine has decided to pack in. Great!

Hopefully just the motor brushes - and hopefully they're both replaceable and available.

Four months ago some timewasting tosser went all keyboard warrior slagging us off on Google. I posted it on here where he cancelled a booked MoT on the day. Then the rearranged MoT was cancelled leaving a message at 1 in the morning. When he phoned again I told him I didn't want his business and put the phone down.

Yesterday I was surfing the net , like you do, when I came across a picture of his Mazda MX-5. The numberplate was in view so I checked. Well wouldn't you know, a car whose MoT ran out in 2016 four months after booking it in with me is still out of test. No keeper change either. Just proves my point that he would have not turned up to any other oppointment and more than likely cancelled on the day like the two times before. I feel like adding to my reply like he did when I replied to his slagging off but that might put the whole thing as the most recent review.
