I'm trying to send a huge parcel of heavy shite to someone in Scotland- no problem, I say. He didn't say he was located in one of those crappy islands offshore that no-one will deliver to. Why do people do this, trying to pull a sly one and they know it's going to be a massive pain in the arse, it's going to cost way more that the postage covers! He can wait for a bit, the swine. ARGH. And another one to Isle Of frigging Man.:cry::cry::cry::cry:

I've never had sleep paralysis, but I get horrible night terrors from time to time. Everynight I wake up sharply when I'm in the bit between awake and sleeping when your mind is going bananas.

The last time I had a waking dream was after watching a load of Twilight Zone episodes, and I was dreaming while I woke from sleep. I was actually in the Twilight Zone episode and I couldn't escape it. The thing that helped was going for a crap or making yourself sick (as I felt really nauseous), it must exert some pressure on the body and it fully wakes you up. Horrible though, bad sleep is a direct result of stress. Also, I stopped eating crap food and not eating a few hours before bed and it stopped.

I get the sharp awake thing when the TV is on as well.

Haven't done so for a while bt i use to dream I was drowning. I'd actully feel myself sort of slipping away. In the ream I'd then decied to do something about it, like swim up or something. What was scarey was I'd wake up out of breath....

Is it just me that doesn't give a fuck whether a cricket match was rigged? Why has this been headline news for so long? I thought there were more important things happening in Pakistan at the moment?

For the record the only cricket I'm interested in looks very like a Hillman Avenger.

Chris Evans on the radio this morning... commenting on some 'oh so whaky' charity rally to Bucharest for car costing less than £250, he said something along the lines of them being lucky if they make it Dover....

Yeah, he's been prime twatish this week. I think it was yesterday or the day before that he was all 'oooh, I drove into work in a Ford Ka. It was ok actually!' Oh how humble you are you big ginger twat.

Can't wait for my wife to quit work (one month left) and then we can set the alarm to 'don't come on' which'll be nice!

I think the "scandal's" got more to do with big business rather than sport. There are much more important things than this going on in my back garden - like for example, the fact that my late-season potatoes have poked their way through the soil, and the pears on the pear tree are getting to the ripe stage.

First part is not a grump, but hey ho.

Was nice of people who txt'd, rang me and left me a message on facebook to say "Happy Birthday"

But fuck me was it a bad idea to go to the pub with friends, never again.

Pretty shit day TBH.

My major grump for today is my feckin useless memory

went for job as a delivery driver for one of the big supermarkets.... well every little helps :D

1st part of interview......passed

2nd " " " ....... passed

3rd part... driver assessment...... he says "can't do it"

why? i ask..

your licence has expired... so you are not insured

i show him back of licence and my entitlements to drive until 2030.

he says "no your picture has expired which makes your licence invalid"

eventually found letter which i got to renew photo...sent it all off but letter says i can still drive whilst waiting for return of my licence... i show him the letter stating this, he says don't worry it only takes bout week or so to get licence back and that he will say on my form what happened and arrange for assessment when i get my licence back....

feckin well pissed off that my brain is so feckin pickled that i am starting to forget things.

As long as you don't start turning up at peoples homes forgetting to take the food with you then you'd be alright!

I am grumpy this evening as my back hurts and I feel about a thousand years old. WTF has happened to my 'life'.....

I feel upset. I sold an MR2 mk1b wheel with a good branded tyre for 99p on ebay.

The bloke picks up today and said he only needs it to put his hose on!

Happy Birthday Mark!

For some reason the Merc is showing as uninsured on the database. I found this fact out when I was stopped on my way home tonight. Thankfully I had my policy with me and plod were all to happy to ring 1st Quote insurance who agreed I was insured. They couldn't offer an explanation as to why this happened. 1st Quotes offices are now closed and I have to travel to 0161 tonight and I can't imagine Mancplod being too willing to believe a scouser.

If it gets seized then I'm renting an equivalent make and model and billing the useless insurance company! £250 a day will teach them a lesson!

It is worth visiting www.askmid.com every now and then and checking your cars. Took WEEKS for my cars to get put on there when I was with Peter D James. Had to chase up every time - about the only thing I can fault them on mind.

Where were you pulled? More Than took two policies out for some reason on my car when I ordered online, and I cancelled one, but they apparently cancelled the wrong one and I don't know if they've messed it up. I'm on askmid, but I'm getting the fear about them seizing my car. Was your Merc seized?

County Road in Walton. They were ok and very decent about the whole thing. They did give my insurance company a good bollocking! Surprisingly they didn't seem disappointed when the car came back insured, unlike the last time I had a similar incident. Merc wasn't seized so a good result.

BT - reconnecting me after cutting me off as I paid in cash not direct debit... NO I DO NOT WANT A NEW NUMBER - fxxxing retards.

I was very clear to the guy that I did not want a new number as I am with Demon (another bunch of wankers) so my IP address is fixed to the phone number.

Guy says ok well you've a new number... make no wonder they have none spare, you can call the same day and ask for the old one back.

Called and asked when the line was back on, yes you can have the old number but it'll take a week, ffs.

(sent via netbook sapping a neighbours BT hub )

Dragged off to camping trip with friends last week against better judgement. One week down and my shoulder is still seized up from having slept awkwardly on the floor. Ow!

Skint despite having just been paid and September seems to be the month where my entire family have their birthdays.

Car's 3 year leaseplan expires in a couple of months. Dealer apparently doing me a favour by offering me a replacement vehicle with less spec, higher price, and worse finance. Arsewipe.

I like having a new car but in the spirit of the times I am very tempted to get shot of it and just buy a 5 year old Focus or something......

Yo Parky!!!! You wont much sympathy for 'new car plight' on here!!! Sack it off and get shite-ing.

Bloody hell, 5 years old is like a new car to most of us.

Posted

Was going to say - I think a really early Mk1 Focus is just about shite-worthy, but frankly anything built in the last ten years is off my radar! Depreciation? Wossat then?

Posted

Yeah fair point guys! I like teh shite-y motahs but da missus is well up for keeping it real wiv da Jones's, kno wha I mean?

Its mainly for her for driving to work / school run, that sort of stuff. If I was a solitary beast I'd be cruisin' in a Bluebird or Camry or something big and sushi flavoured. As a kiwi girl she grew up with a selection of Japan cast offs but I cant interest her in those any more........

Posted

Just buy an old Stanza and tell her to cram it, what's she going to do about it? She'll just have to put up and/or shut up.

BMW woes.

The chuffing thing is borked again, running on 5, behaving like its snapped another rocker on top of its smattering of other issues... the weighbridge may be a-calling.....

Bloody churchill bloody car bloody insurance. Are they going to rip you/ Oh yes!

My daughter is on holiday - she warned me before she went that her insurance was due w,hile she's out of the country, and that she was cancelling with churchill and going elsewhere. This was supposed to be all sorted out a week ago. Today, an "important documents" letter landed from churchill with her renewal in it! WANKERS! Not only have they renewed without being asked to (actually, asked not to) they waited 2 days after starting the cover before writing, and wont let me deal with it on the phone, they wont cancel without speaking to J. According to the letter, this is all for her convenience, and they are pleased about it.

That last part makes sense, if it's her policy she's legally responsible. Otherwise anyone could ring up and cancel your policy without you knowing

"Calls may be recorded for training purposes" - find out if her original call detailing that the insurance was not to be renewed was recorded. Also, has she insured with another company? I bleieve that it's illegal to be insured with 2 companies at the same time for the same cover, so bollock them with that too.

Just been all over the place this afternoon in my Kadett, No problems, I get home turn it off, Open the garage, go and start it again and the battery's died, Bugger, Just been to the local auto shop which is luckily still open to get a 063 battery for it, I'm now £39.99 lighter but at least it's starting.

I just hope it was due to the battery being old and not due to the dynamo being knackered or something.
