The grumpy thread

No doubt a facetwatter tribute is under construction to another wonderful bloke who was let down by the system and reacted in the only way he felt he could, didn't get a bike for his 8th birthday and was denied the treatment he so much needed, society is to blame again

Way I see it is this. If your wife and kids annoy you the much, kill the feckers. I'd have the guts to stand up and say WHY though. Life in jail looks nice compared to the conversation in our front room right now :x

Also, I've never drivven a nice metro. Minis are godawful piles of shite too. I'd rather have a moskovitch. Handling isn't evertything!

I've never driven a Metro, but have always wanted one. I've always regretted not buying the gold E reg one that was for sale at the local garage as a trade in circa 2004 - £20! Just out of MOT, but very tidy.

Having said that, I have driven a Mini and it's horrible - at around 6' I was very cramped, so maybe a Metro wouldn't be such a good idea. Mind you, if I could get one cheap enough it would make a great garden ornament.

Selling taxed & tested cheap POS is a right pain.

I listed my Peugeot 605 on ebay last week with a starting bid of £100.The first phonecall came in at quarter past midnight which I chose to ignore.Same guy phones the next afternoon asking about more infomation. Here's the listing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-PEUGEOT-605- ... mobiles_UK What more do you need to know ? He then asks what I would take to end the auction.£150 came my reply. It will make more than that over the bridge. He then starts talking scrapyard prices and offers £125.No it's one and a half or leave it.Next day he sends a text offering £135.An hour later another text "did you get my text earlier" yes I did but ignored it as I told you it's £150 was my reply.Fugging moron.

The car sold on Sunday but having sent three invoices and four messages I still haven't had any contact from this so called buyer.I sold it today to a mate of a mate and even then had to convince him he will not only get his money back at Simms but if he sold the cat seperately he'd be in profit.FFS next time I get a fully working road legal car for a oner it's going over the bridge.Wasteful and such a shame I know but penniless mongs make it that way.

This makes me grumpy.

Take a stunning Metro, and ruin it with typical cheap "yeah, it'll look shit hot if I black the lights" tricks. I might end up buying this just to save the poor thing.

Poor old 'tro, piss poor effort. But sometimes people can get modifying just right...

Agreed. That needs nothing else its just right. 8)

Also agreed, it is a cool look. I wonder if those wheels would fit my A40?

Feel your pain and understand exactly where you're coming from. It's unbelievable what people ask/expect of cheap bangers these days and crud like 'will you knock me fifty quid off as I live 100 miles away' is just the norm now unfortunately.

Personally speaking I'd send a text message back to that nugget and say as you didn't hear from him you sold it for forty quid last night.

And you know what? I reckon it looks better at 'normal' height too... no doubt i'd be ridiculed if I voiced that opinion over there...

This evening I was outside my mates Indian take away having a smoke with him when for the second time in as many months the same Vectra C driving prick slowed down to inform me in a loud voice that I'm a "FUCKING PAKI LOVER".

Just to set the record straight, my friend is from Bangladesh and I don't love him.

I do a lot of miles on a lot of roads. I WILL find out where this prick lives!

A BIG FUCK OFF capacitor on something I was soldering at work exploded, while I was working on it. I now have acid-like burns all over my face. BOO!

Ooh - Nasty!

I had a leisure battery explode on me at work a few years ago but luckily my dashing good looks (ahem!) went unharmed.

As I was sprinting up the stairs to get to the washroom, the idiot boss had come out of his office to investigate the "BANG" and tried to stop me to answer his dumb questions.

He didn't like being told to "Get out of my FUCKING way!"

Hope you are ok!

^^As with fencing scars, capacitor burns are very attractive to the (cue up the Barry White)..... ladies.

Don't feel so bad now! Also, the boss is shitting himself as that work isn't my job (I'm a CCNE) but he told me to do it.

I knew a bloke that had a van tyre expolode on him, you'd really sooner have the acid tbh then that.

James Blunt. Nuff said.

Cyprus postal system. I have Practical Classics on subscription. Last one I saw was the July issue. By my reckoning, I now have August and September floating around somewhere, but they ain't here! My household bills still arrive though...

BBC Prime, or BBC Entertainment depending on the time of day. What a load of tat. Doctors, Eastenders, Weakest Link. You could lose the will to live...

However they do offer some compensation: Inspector Lynley (and his Bristol, mmmmmmmm, later Jensen, equally mmmmmmmm); Gil Mayo (no nice cars but funny) and Ideal (Johnny Vegas, say no more).

/\ Aye....thats why I got rid of my TV 3 years ago

Indeed!

I went to a Carina Round gig in Stockton a few years ago, when he was an unknown and opened for her. Had to sit through what seemed like weeks of him and his sister droning on and was about ready to slit my wrists by the time he buggered of. Had it not been for the company (two young Portuguese ladies) and Carina I'd have had to make a sharp exit.

The closest I can get is shitting on my laptop and I'm just not prepared to do that to this one, I've only had it a few hours!

THAT Metro on RR. It's now been lowered 'properly' by a man who let lots of fluid out of the suspension system. Yup, that sounds a proper job! SHEESH!
