As ever immense hard work and skill there@GingerNuttz  always amazing to see your work....

@sdkrc in no way did you influence  my decision to buy my own bit of Americana... that burbly pillarless action .  The colour is particularly lush.

Found on a car blog: pics from a similarly spec'd 1965 Galaxie 500 LTD 4-door hardtop

I'm currently trying to pick an interior, find out exactly what parts of the trim I'm missing as I believe mine's a fancy XL spec and find potential spares cars

On the spares car front be sure to check the vin code  the Galaxie shared the body of the " Custom" and tho they look like the same cars spec, options and such very massively.  I nearly pulled the trigger on a very similar to yours "Galaxy 500" as it was listed   it checking thr vin revealed it to be a base /fleet spec Custom  Small beans maybe but  a bit naughty from a dealer and importer, especially when the luxuries were -2 speed wipers  and an interior light.

Keep meaning to tune into this thread. Cracking work.

I wish I had a tame @GingerNuttz locally. My Dolomite would have been done in a couple of weekends! (And to a much better standard)

It's also impressive to see how someone can enjoy working on body and metalwork so much. I personally (now) hate it as messy, noisy, dangerous and makes your snot go the same colour as a day in London.

Lies and slander! The air in London is all primroses and butterflies since everyone has had to pay to get in.

Would they let the Galaxie in?

as its over 40 years its exempt from ULEZ, but unless the driver has a blue badge/or its in the disabled taxation class it still has to pay indigestion congestion charge (but if its in the disabled taxation class it will then have to pay ULEZ after 2025, #Clusterfuck)

on a more serious note, its been awesome to see the work that @GingerNuttz has been doing to the car, its really come up something awesome :)

its also seriously awesome just how much @GingerNuttz has been helping other shittters out! between this Galaxie and @captain_70s's fleet, its awesome to see the help he has provided in keeping them going!

I'm a wierdo in that respect I think 😂

I don't drive as I hate it and don't have a licence but love old cars so this is how I get to enjoy them.

Oddly enough I live in Glasgow's ULEZ so we'll find out when they start charging me

GCC like charging motorists; they don't think 24hr bus lanes are a perversion even though the buses only run in 18 of those.

Forgot I cut some bumper bolts off so ordered new ones.

I'm dying with the flu so slow progress this week, while drilling the last hole for the arch trim the drill bit snapped and what was left in the drill went through my hand 😂

Fired some superglue in it so should be good to go tomorrow.

Inner arch also painted ready for underseal.
