Fresh fuel, fresh battery, fresh bodywash.

Dropped off for MOT, full cervix, OSF tyre, wiper blades, replacement steering wheel and seat belt due to mank.

I expect a £600 bill next week.

Failed on osf tyre which I knew. Handbrake doesn't click.... My orange one never has.

But the tracking is out and they said lob 4 tyres on it. So I have a blackcircles man dropping some fabulous Toyos off on Monday.

Wiper blades fucked, which I knew.... Wipers don't work at all. They're gonna strip the motor. It is full of shite tbf.

"Did I fit the new rear axle?"

Yes I bloody well did. It was not @mk2_craig and his gang of miscreants. 🫣

How the hell do the tyres wear out from standing still?

on the bright side, a few more years of similar inactivity and you’ll be back down to average channel island mileage.

The OSF was flat after a few hours and I might as well replace all.

Orange is at 52k I think.

They made over 2 million Mk3's and the last one was made 11 years ago. We're at the tipping point of "just scrap the cunt"

I need upullit York to get one in, so I can grab the roofliner, carpet, seatbelts and interior trimmings due to mine been manky.

Not even £5 Uzbekistan posh hand car wash can fix the interior.... They've tried.

Insurance and garage would be needed anyway? Doesn’t seem too broken and tyres are wear and tear, good luck!

Stupid car.

It's always had a steering fault, the previous owner was told battery or alternator. He replaced both... and I've lobbed two new batteries and an alternator on.

However, I've just found out you're supposed to use 50 amp batteries, which I didn't know and it has a 40 amp. Although orange has a 40 I believe. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, the fault just kills the power steering. You can drive it, but it's not fun. Usually, engine off and on and it's good to go.

Today I had to do a 60 mile round trip to collect shit and it's a constant fault now. I believe it's the steering wheel torque sensor that needs replacing. They aren't that expensive at about £100.

Hopefully it's not a motor fault.

Listen her steering does need fixing and I'm doing the interior in February... If the stupid Maxus arrives.

Oh one more thing, 4 barely touched wheel trims with original men.

The holy grail! Where the heck did you find those?!

Also, if you’re ever crazy enough to sell that green one, I’d love first refusal 👍

I have spare seats, as the seats that are in it are terrible. The spare seats aren't mint, but they don't smell like a dead dog. A clean would be nice.

I'm off to upullmeoff in York. https://u-pull-it.co.uk To grab a carpet, headliner and the odd bit of trim out of a 2011 Panda they have.

Then I'm booking it in for the torque sensor mid Feb.

I'll bring it when I'm down end of Feb you can have a whizz over the new seatd

I've been off work a week and done buggar all, because my fucking car of the future hasn't arrived.

....

In other news, I've borrowed this. Hopefully it'll save @robthedonkey bringing the industrial one.

Gonna go to upullmeoff on Tuesday for bits.
