Bloody good job TripleRich, thanks for the info & the pics of the Consul GT. Also thanks for saving a bit of my & a lot of others childhood. That car was the other star of the Sweeney.

It wasn't even my childhood but I'm in awe of it! Might be time for a new desktop background on the pc tomorrow...

surprised no ones spotted Stuarts Peel P50 that iv posted about in my thread :)

(FGH62C still untaxed since 1998 despite being first registried 2017 LOL)

That's because it's not techincally* an original

haha yes iv heard its had quite the extensive rebuild/restoration :)

but I understand that its been rebuilt to mostly original P50 specifications

(ie DKW engine etc)

the weird DVLA thing is because Stuart had to reclaim the reg, this was well before we discovered with XWC you could still V62 a non showing reg!

(also with FGH being "dead" since 1969 its questionable if the DVLA would of still had records on it or not)

Mass dump of photos I took today. They were added in order but forum software will likely muddle them up.

Apparently those Reliant drawings were discovered at a former specialists premises a few months back, after the proprietor died.

Or so that's what I was told, by my Scimitar loving work colleague (the one with the Ogle)

I keep going to go to one of these things, then remember it's take out a mortgage for a bad coffee at the NEC. So ta for the pics, I'm too tight / poor to go.

I went on Saturday. Spent a lot of time surrounded by Citroens and seem to have missed a few things when I went walk about. So thanks for sharing the pictures.

I paid £2 for a really tasty sausage roll which made me very happy. Otherwise spent nothing. Nearly spent £13k on the Edsel though!3B59ED83-59B0-41EE-B504-9346E63C0685.jpeg.cefafffc2ca4b1113fedc992c52afce1.jpeg An absolute bargain compared to £70k for an Escort which I’m sure was lovely but... well, it’s only ever going to be an Escort.070B6325-F09A-4284-8B8E-C971DB62C53E.jpeg.8a5fd5e34c6e42a3a5d611ddb0bdf509.jpeg

I can never get past the Friskies without stopping. I got so absorbed this time people started asking me things as if I belonged there. No idea how much on of those would cost.1BC34DE6-50B5-42E9-91C2-6EB4F923B4E6.thumb.jpeg.2ece2791b19157dda4c7b03b5f2deb47.jpegDA9F5412-29E8-4B19-A27D-DFB956B8F68F.thumb.jpeg.dbfa2335e5aeaadbd3f8530a00ddba03.jpeg

The 505 Dangel estate nearly made me, erm, well I won't go into it.  I would give a kidney though.

Stanley (Harper) called, said it wants its rear end back!

Decided against going this year due to costs...

Slightly regretting it now looking at the pics!

Talk of a Yugo OC stand next year. There’s an aim for me to get it ready!

The Edsel seemed quite a reasonable price to me, even more so once I'd had a snout around some of the other dealers' stands

Great pics, wish I'd gone. A smoll contribution for you...

It had paint runs down it as well. Original?

Built in 1977, it's likely a Speke factory build. So possibly yes! Maybe why it's so few miles, rejected at the dealer?

Good god that safrane!

It's a 3L Ph1 V6  and also Bi Turbo. I exchanged emails with the owner of it a few years back (more like over a decade ago). If memory serves not only is it a left hand drive but also electronically limited as the engines output power is too strong for the gearbox fitted to it - Renault had serious problems there. If memory serves, it's also 4x4 (Renault made a 4x4 Safrane variant called Quaddra if memory serves and he's got that setup in this car) - a very rare safrane indeed and the owner is incredibly proud of it.
