trust me I want to buy that so badly! but I am just trying to figure out the logistics of it, I have already sent the seller a message asking for some general details, my usual "I am an Invacar enthusiast, I keep track of all surviving machines and I would love to know more about the story of yours for my research. and im am more then happy to assist in any questions you might have yourself about it :) "

but I have not heard back yet sadly, and if his communication is not there then im not sure how I would go about buying something like this remotely LOL

I have at least figured out somewhere I can possibly stash it, however there are further complications on that as the person who is very kindly offering me covered storage space,  wont be able to go pickup for at least 3 weeks so I would have to then also figure out either an external transport company to move it up to said storage space or see if the seller could hang onto it for 3 weeks!

But BTW as a side note, if someone else here wants to buy it, please by all means go ahead! I just really want to make sure it finds a good home, its quite the significant Argson so I dont want it to fall into bad hands

Own a classic Italian sports car for the price of a new Kia Ceed! Yes there are a few holes and a bit of wob, but I am sure* this can all be easily fixed:

Assuming the engine rebuild is recent and with paperwork, that's a billy barg for a relatively solid Merak. Gorgeous looking things. I still haven't forgiven Clarkson for wrecking that tidy red example on TG a few years back.

You seen the tax on the 2.5 petrol ones of these now? £615.... I`m expecting loads of these (& other shite in that tax bracket) to get recycled because of it in the next few years...

Clicking through the latest Brighwells auction listings and the child bride (she of no taste in cars or husbands) spots a rather nice* 2007 Chrysler Crossfire.
£615 like you say
'Non' I said,
Trouble is that the high tax is pushing down the prices on the cars such that I am tempted for something or other (I can SORN at will here as we have off road space)

Well, it wouldn't be on that if it was petrol because it's 05 plate so registered before that tax band existed

Fair price, only the 2nd '91/92 I've seen come up for sale in years (and I bought the first one). Never liked the light blue on them, the blue interior is perfection though.

I always got the impression these would run for ever if you could keep the rust under control.

You probably could, everything for these is still dirt cheap to buy. Since they are body on frame and generally pretty simple underneath even rust doesn't have to be a major issue. A ladder frame is easier to weld than any unibody.

It would be. Everything post 1/3/2001 is when everything became tax bandied, & if you live in a low emission zone (London, Bristol, Birmingham etc), & don't want to pay daily to use it, then you have to ignore everything petrol before March 2001, or diesels pre 2016 (or get something with historic exemption).
