I see the "Mini" is listed as "track prepared" because there's no way that'll ever pass an IVA and it's still registered by the DVLA as a 998 clubman....
Except it isn't track prepared at all. No rollcage, just a bar for the harnesses - which are a) probably fake and b) lack the 5th (crotch) strap to make them safe to use on track. And I really hope that bar isnt just fixed into the parcel shelf, as its location does seem very odd.
And rubber fuel hoses going to banjo fittings on the carbs also gives me the heebie jeebies for anything likely to see track use, was it really that hard to get some braided ones with threaded ends made?
Of course, the handling is also going to be mega interesting now the track matches the wheelbase......

If you look again you can probably see it does have a full roll cage, though the angle of the B posts is a bit odd. The battery isn't secured either, and doesn't have a cut-off... pretty much the definition of "all the gear, but no idea". Oh, and the stereo encased in a metal box with sharp edges, in the middle of the roof...

What an absolute pile of dingo's kidneys. That thing wants cubing. Preferably with the person that made it sat in it.

Really no clue at all about these things, but are these 'modern' Mustangs just trading on their former glories? They just look about as in keeping with their origins as sticking Mexico badges on those fucking awful Escort Mk6 things.

Professionally wrapped to hold and cover all the rust up more like. Another fan of the Everley Bros.

£1k and a four pot, but I'm sure you'll agree it's worth the extra.

I initially thought that was some sort of rutting stag on the bonnet, which might have actually improved it.

Already sold, little surprise it it was £600 as advertised. Even in the '90s these would have been worth decent money for export, with the OHV engine and manual 'box making them particularly sought-after.

I know nothing about this particular car other than it having previously been seen on AS. I don't know who posted it, but apparently it was pictured here back in September 2009 somewhere in the north-east.

All things considered, this looks absolutely amazing value for £1500, if that's really what he's selling it for and it's as good as it looks

Cheaper than my one was, and on the face of it much tidier (plus an extra carb). I'm honestly half tempted myself as it's a much better colour, too

The NA 2.3's are anemic but the 5.0 V8 are the American escort.

Didn’t that have as little as 140bhp in some cars?

Not sure, the one me Brother had seemed to go quite well and that was a manual too, although I believe it had all the smog and emissions equipment removed
