What exactly is the difference between a Santana and a Defender? Given the ridiculous prices for old Defenders, that looks remarkably cheap ever if you scrap the trailer.

The Santana’s on parabolic leaf springs, has a more comfortable driving position and a 2.8 iveco Diesel engine, is selectable 4x4 (hence the free wheel hubs) and has more cargo space in the rear - the doors wide enough for a euro pallet I believe. They are a good workhorse but the build quality is probably not the best
