Just 9000 miles.  Probably the world's only £16k post-war Vauxhall worth a look.

I found one of those auxiliary instrument panels in a hedge down the local tip back in the early 80s.

Where's the door handle?

Quote

the door locks have been smoothed over and has a option on a fob for them to pop open

but...

Quote

but this does not work

so...

Quote

so have left a window open so it can be opened without going through the boot

going to assume that's why there's water on the seats?

What is going on to make people do such stupid things to cars? Did they put lead back in the petrol?

These halfarsed - iron head /alloy block - contraptions really appeal to me but for that stupid centre-console.

But Fuckwhit-Customs Inc. has made this into a £250 car. At least it doesn't have roof problems (No sun/moon hole, no vinyl)

Just* another £2k gets perfection. Possibly.

it’s never let me down once

however on the front drivers side I have converted it to springs as the original suspension collapsed

So, it literally let you down once! haha

Here's the link: https://www.ebay.c.... hang on, what was that again?

Surely I'm misunderstanding. You're not saying...

It still has original suspension on 3 of the wheels

hey why not stick a hydrolastic displacer on one of the other wheels and be done with it?

Pair of rust free MK1 Capris.  £17,500 for both. Facebook South Africa.  Seller also selling MK1 Cortina.  But the P100 looks best of all.

Bakkie ( P100 was used only for non SA Mk5.

The car also has a private number plate which will come with the car.

Is it in the boot? Because the one on the car doesn't look like it's worth the acrylic.

The reg number is TE57LEA which kind of looks like TESLA.

No, it does not. It is however, an excellent private plate for an OFSTED inspector.

Can’t help feeling that without the banded, chromed VX 4/90 Rostyles , it’d be just another FE.

Front grille is different too, same as the VX4/90.

And of course, not forgetting the auxiliary instruments, the wood and that 3.3 litre lump.

EFA.

Ventoras don’t require fat tyres for more grip. Squealing the skinny tyres is the only fun to be had in an FE, unless your passenger is feeling frisky.  (Which is pretty unlikely to be brought on by the Vauxhall.)

Oh, I’m aware of what makes it a Ventora, just not what makes it worth£16k , to be honest that 3.3 boat anchor with an auto box , just reduces the mpg. I’m sure the performance figures for 2.3 Victors, VX4 /90s and Ventoras are all pretty much the same.  Just checked and yes all 3 posted 12-12.6 second 0-60 and only the Ventoar could just break 100 mph.

As such a value of about £7/8000 for a nice one is about it, maybe £10k if that ludicrous low mileage can be proved.

The sweet spot would be a late VX2300 GLS or maybe a 2.3 Victor fitted with brushed nylon Ventora seats and a cassette player- where could one possibly find such a beast? That would surely be worth every penny of £16,000.
