Onyx Firefly, 5k seems a bit steep as I'm not sure there's much of a market for one of these... Since it's listed as a Fiat Uno I'd guess that's what it's based off?

May be an image of car

Panda-based, apparently. A distracted Google search says that production continued in the Netherlands under another brand, Alphax. However, the Alphax website seems to have been taken over by something Chinese....

Be Dan, but in a mirror-image LHD alternative reality.

With a 1300GT Crossflow.

White lenses on Mk2 front indicators, maybe standard spec for it's market?

Looks like it.

You haven't driven the right one, far enough. If you want me to demonstrate the use of an autobox that suits the car, let me know. I'll let you press the button on top of the gear stick.

Maybe so, only one I've driven is a 69 plate Merc E class with the 7 speed box. Didn't like it, didn't see the point, as my left leg works perfectly well, and my brain can choose the correct gear at least as well, and probably change more smoothly if not as fast.

Automatic handbrakes are the spawn of the devil also, it's the one thing I hate about my Insignia, and will likely lead to me selling it earlier than I otherwise might have.

1987 Cortina Mk5 - FOAD's looked a prince of a thing compared to this rotter; but is it for eBay that or late registration madness?

That needs respraying in bathtub blue, and a numberplate reading "CI 15", for that whole Father Ted vibe. Seller seems to be in Clare, so that's even more serendipitous.

I guess things like those will find their own price but £5000 seems like about £3000 too much to me, it's not even an 'iconic' kit car.

This was owned by the same gent I bought my Strada and Senator from, last year.

The story goes that it was driven on trade plates for six years - back when one could get away with such carry on of course - and registered when the new plate system was introduced.

@The VicarWould you be able to keep an eye on that auction please?  There's no way I can afford this but it would be nice to know what it goes for...

I'll have my eye on this little 1300 as it goes through, so will certainly do the same for the Bedford.

Again, the reason we bought my wife a mk6 Astra was that it was one of the few cars we could afford WITH an electric hand brake.  She had some issues* with her arm and shoulder, which caused her excessive pain when using the hand brake and changing gear, such that she could no longer drive.

* Calcific growth on the shoulder joint causing the nerves and muscles to be inflamed- sorted now..

I'm fine with the electric hand brake and hill hold, hill start function.
